Visual Representation of the feedback after a major PoE patch
Back in the day I switched to PoE, from D2LoD
While the PvP scene in d2 was AMAZING, PoE offered a more fluent, faster gameplay and a lot more options about customizing your character to play how you enjoy playing the most. Path offered a lot, while the skilltree in the beginning is daunting, sooner rather than later you realize that it in reality is rather shallow, but yet highly customizable. #note( This is by no means ment to insult/call out people who are just copy pasting a build. Imo if you think the build you just did copy is fun, and you enjoy its playstyle - nothing wrong doing so. You do miss out on truly finding your own sweetspot though.) PoE offered both pleasing graphics, sadly no options to finetune effects to your liking - not perfect, but I could deal with that. What PoE really offered was the option of a fast paced gameplay, I mean a LOT faster than any other ARPG (even now) offered. You could always go as slow as you like, or as fast as you want. Almost all builds one created was able to go fast, if you designed them well. - For me this was extremely satisfying. This feature only PoE offered is now is now gone. Only a few select options for going fast -> D2 had that Telesorc A lot of bad and only a few select viable builds for content -> D2 had that as well. Sure you most likely can do most content on any build, but it will feel very subpar. In PoE I did enjoy endgame content on: Bows/Traps/Mines/Selfcast/CoC/Totems/Melee(even though it is considered bad, playing dual strike felt REALLY good imo) Every league offered an expansion of things you could do, I didn't make use of a lot of league mechanics as I did not like them, but the core gameplay I always considered fun. Until about 2 weeks ago. Farming salt on the forums since 2024
