🔥🔥 BUFF Righteous Fire . STOP NERFING THIS SKILL🔥🔥🔥

and then there are maps like....

No regen
reduced recovery
cursed with despair
-max res
+ele resist from monsters/+maxhp

Thats a lot of mods which feel REALLY bad playing rf

Ugh those map modifiers. I can usually do -40% regen, up to -11 max resist, so long as they don't have +crit% or multiple sources of increased monster damage. Nothing quite like seeing no regen when I corrupt a T16 rare to get atlas completion.
since awaken objectives scale those modifiers, they will almost always be above the comfortable threshhold.

I am not saying that you are wrong, I just wanted to point out that other than being an underperforming skill, it also has a serious drawback on map mods

You are 100% right about that. The awakening modifiers will take a tolerable map into impossible mode for sure.
I've played my own RF build in 3.13 when explode chests weren't changed yet; although I didn't have the best gear I could easily clear T16 maps.
(it was fun to chain those explosions!!)

Bossing was kind of out of the question though, RF just isn't a good skill for boss fights in general. -> close combat + high resist + high damage on a build that needs its life isn't a good combo...

If I check my POB now (reworked and updated) I still get 2M+ DPS from RF though... Note that it was around 10-12M dps in 3.13. with maxed-out gear. (Sirius A8 DPS)

Almost all builds (with a few meta exceptions) have had a hard damage nerf. Know that roughly 1M DPS should be enough to kill a T16 rare (one-shot).

RF was fun when we could clear an entire screen with 1 explode chain... ^^

The fun fact is it is still possible if you're a little bit creative. ;)

"Asenath's Gentle Touch gloves" could potentially replace the explode chest.

A great and fun way to curse on hit, apply EE (elemental equilibrium) and get inspiration charges is to use cyclone + cast while channeling + arc + inspiration (for inspiration charges) easy 4 link. The bonus you can also shock sometimes... ;)

Get an additional curse chest and/or windshriek boots so you can also apply flammability on hit... with a ring... (or corrupted gloves)

Anyway so many possibilities to try out, you can find my old RF POB build here:

https://pastebin.com/KC8780vN

Maybe it could be used to make RF viable again. ;)
(it isn't optimized for 3.15 though)

Note: I do think it's currently an underperforming skill, but so are many other skills in this league... even the new ones they added, lol.

Hopefully GGG will see the error and adjust the skills that need it, including RF.
I'm making it work with an interesting setup:

Cyclone-Fortify-Inspiration-[source of lightning/shock]

Wave of Conviction-Combustion-Hextouch-Flammability

Enduring Cry and Immortal Call to cycle endurance charges for Chieftain's +15% damage

I (grudgingly) find that the changes to CwDT support made me learn to self-cast most of my abilities to fine tune the timing, but with 91 unreserved mana, it's a balancing act for sure. It should also get easier once I find a 5-link item (or 6-link if I'm lucky). I might make it to A5 Sirus as I usually do, but I haven't beaten him with RF in previous leagues, and I don't see how I do it in 3.15.

Yeah i also "still" get 2+m dps on RF, but i have extremely expensive gear and judging by your pob, you do aswell.

90% of players in league will come even close to that kinda gear, most RF players will have something more like this

https://pastebin.com/JT4wAALL

no clusters, basic investment around 400-500c if you drop the woke orb yourself.

650k dps , 1.8 mil dps burst with vaal RF + flamewall.

386k phys ehp, 84k ele ehp.

tanky boy, but literally zdps. you will barely be able to fight A9 sirus or maven with this since they'll just outregen you or you'll get gutted for being too slow.

Love this skill and it is just sadge how ggg kill this build.
One of the worst skills to play right now. Little dmg and very very expensive build.
Light help me, but I'm at tier 4 maps and somehow keeping this build alive - I get 70K DPS with 7 endurance charges, Chieftain +15% effect from toggling endurance charges, and Elemental Overload. I strongly doubt that I will get to red maps barring a miraculous drop, and endgame bosses are probably out of reach altogether.

Granted there are probably people with the skill to pull it off, but I'm almost certainly not one of them.
Now now,

take a breath and take a guess,

what could Chris Willsons' opinion on a walking simulator build possibly be?

^^
