Is it a little bit of Drama or....

I don't think games are made to be played forever, especially video games. How many times you can slog through this game is up to you but there is a limit. I reached mine in like 3.2 and game became less and less interesting. PoE can replace people like me with new players but even that has a finite limit because once word is out everyone who wants to play this type of game already has.

Are we seeing those limits reached or is it the nerfs is a good question, better answered next league which will probably engage in power creep/buff pattern again.

I lean on game is just getting old because we've had massive nerfs before (Wrecking popular discharge and CoC, shotgunning, etc) and game grew. Doesnt mean I'm right tough, need more data.

23% player loss, but supporter packs were 50% more expensive. GGG made 15.5% more money this league. Facts!

Well, it is summer for half the globe and I suspect many people spend more time away from home, especially those with families. Also, people are getting out more now that COVID restrictions have recently been lifted.

Stir crazy + summer = less gaming

Indeed, also true. Like a lot of things no one answer.

With all the crying on the forums, they should change the name of the league to the "Who Moved My Cheese League"

From what I see you cry the most about "the crying".

2 years ago, before covid, their June-released league was the second highest release in their history to that point. So, trying to claim the drop-off is "summer" is a very unlikely explanation. If I were GGG I'd be concerned but waiting to see what kind of numbers the next couple weekends bring before worrying about it.

Most people who dislike this patch, after having played it, dislike it NOT because its hard or they can't adapt. They dislike it because its tedious. Most of the changes did not make combat any harder, it simply made it require less action, and more running away and catching your breath (or mana as the case may be). Challenge in an ARPG is not having to do the same thing you've always done, but having it take longer, nor having to retreat, recover, and run back in, but is having to figure out new ways to achieve your goal while feeling you are actively in the fight.

Now, I don't have an opinion one way or the other yet on the overall game as I haven't had the time to play far enough in yet. I do, however, get riled when I see people making simplistic and incorrect explanations of the reasons someone may not share their opinion of the game.

I see more crying about the legitamit complains than anything else. Why are you here if the league is so fun? LOL

Per usual with gamers, it's a vocal minority being overly dramatic.

23% of a playerbase drop is not exactly a minority in financial terms. MAny of their streamers are also quitting which matters far more than players. Those streamers influence the opinions of many so they are taking more with them.

23% loss here, 23% loss there, adds up to a dead playerbase.

OK. lol.

Your backside must be getting incredibly sore, with all the numbers you keep pulling out of it. Those fours and sevens might be doing permanent damage.

Exactly, this is 23% lower than the all time record, not the game is dying and this is teh last season of PoE ever. Even GGG knew they would not beat any record with this league.

But people will push for drama as much as they can because that make them feel alive. sad really.
Is always Drama. Why would you expect anything different this time lol.

3.15 is the best version of PoE of all time. Feels like a real ARPG, not some speed racing crap.

The thing is or better say was is that you couldve played the game the pace you want. Now we are ALL slow no matter what...
Why does it affect you if someone is zooming?

Wrong. Movement speed and one shot clear was an absolute. Playing at one’s own pace was totally not feasible due to all the countless rush AF league mechanics. PoE still needs to be slower imho. Pace, atmosphere, and journey have been totally disregarded in favour of speed. PoE is on the right track.
