Is it a little bit of Drama or....

..is it POE actually in a serious situation in its lifespan?

Has this game got to a non returning downslope or will everyone accept it in hindsight?

Never EVER seen such a reaction from community in years. This is getting serious.

I've seen a few tantrums in the years I've been around, generally after nerfs. Last big one was harvest being removed, and it's kind of back now in the form of Rog but nobody is talking about that. People overreact. The players still enjoying the game are the silent minority, because they're actually playing.

I'd advise ignoring the QQ and just play the game and make your own decision. If it gets to the point where you're struggling to play/trade due to the lack of playerbase or if you agree and dislike the changes, well, there's your answer I guess.

I personally am having fun with the league so far.
3.15 is the best version of PoE of all time. Feels like a real ARPG, not some speed racing crap.
Serious trouble? I think its too big for that.

The changes are definitely big enough to cause a significant rift in the player base. Certain players will not be able to make the jump across and will be left behind.

Is that a good thing? Not for me to tell. Time will do. Also, while I am among the folks who stopped playing this league, I do realize, that sometimes you have to make things worse before healing can begin. I am hoping that this is one of those cases and that the game will be better in a league or two.

Its not like they broke a lot.. Its more an issue of lots of nerfs going through with not a lot of adjustments to compensate for them, making the game overall a worse experience.

Heck, it might be a perception problem, where we got used to something and now that it is gone, its absence is hurting us. We could potentially be perfectly fine with the game as it is, if only the game was not more convenient before. I cannot tell which one it is, as for my subjective self, I am not enjoying it.

me waiting for console release in 3 days...

I bet I will still enjoy it because I genuinely love the game. But I have a feeling the league will be even more dead on console than last league was and I like trade league. But a dead trade league isn't all that fun.

All I have to say is, never listen to reddit. It's a hivemind and a terrible place to form opinions based on what you read there.
GGG should nerf Headhunter or craft system first if they really want to slow down the power creeper.
It's mostly just drama and people not being able to adapt, or not wanting to adapt. "It's too difficult doing things exactly as I did it last league, hence I quit". Fair enough, if you're not having fun, you should quit. But I feel that a lot of people aren't giving the changes a fair try, and aren't even trying to adapting or solving the new problems we've been dealt.

As others have said; PoE is a problem solving game. We've just recieved some problems to solve. Have at it.

That said, there are of course some tweaks needed - as always. Flasks got overnerfed, especially when it comes to ailment immunities and bleed immunity, and I'm pretty sure we'll see some changes here soon.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
There's always backlash about something. What makes this one real is the player numbers.

I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago.
Another thing to remember is that you're coming to the place that people will come to if they want to complain. So you get a really baised viewpoint, if you extrapolate the mood on the forum to larger sets of players.
GGG should be very careful. Once the community starts fracturing, in-fighting becomes constant and the new game people play in place of the actual one is arguing). that toxicity spreads ripple effects.

Wish GGG and POE players all the best. Hope when I come back things have improved.
