Reddit is WRONG
" You're wrong and my numerous 36+/40 challenges and 5,108 hours on PoE prove how wrong you are. I am a core player and I've supported the heck out of GGG along with many who are dissatisfied... we suddenly don't have a right to our opinion after thousands of hours and thousands of dollars in supporter packs to not be able to complain? Also, no one on reddit or here is asking for the game to be easy (If they exist they have no traction and are one-offs). I've not seen a single post on here or reddit saying "I want to be hand fed content with no difficulty". They want to not be oneshot off screen or frozen with literally no viable option but to sit there and get slowly widdled down by cold damage. They want build diversity and item diversity...What or where are you reading this from seriously. They have not fixed some of the core issues that have plagued this game since Day 1. We're all good with a game that requires skill...getting frozen and unable to move pemanently because you happened to walk a screens distance from a mob is not skillful play. Also having a strong differing opinion counts as being an abusive child now? I guess we're all past the intelligent debate phase and have gone straight to "If you disagree your a child or an abusive hater". Mark my words, unless they revert a ton of these changes you'll notice a trend that each league has a strong dropoff at week 2 and 3... this isn't even the worst of it. I really want to see PoE succeed, and believe it or not I'm a fanboy, i legitimately was the only one amongst my friends saying this will probably be fine. I even got the 90$ supporter pack for this league before they announced the changes because i had faith they wouldnt just bin the entire league...looks like eggs on my face. EDIT: I'm still glad I supported PoE/GGG it gave me over 5,000 hours of enjoyment and if this is the end well it was a good run either way. " You haven't seen those posts asking for easy game? Search for anything mentioning harvest or 3.13. You'll find them. Unless you refuse to acknowledge them. One shot off screen or frozen. Kind of a player problem. Like what are you playing? It's usually coming from these 4k hp toxic rain players who did not even go at it from "what is the best defensive option". The type of player that has cast on death portal linked anyway even before the changes. As for frozen, do you even have a Used when you become frozen flask that you leave at full charges? Because if you don't, you are currently hard trolling in this patch and not doing it right. |

I didn't even like or use harvest crafting but I guess you and I differ on what we think is "asking for easymode" so thats why I must be "blind to it" as you've implied. We don't see eye to eye and as far as your trolling comment, not gonna go for your bait. I think I know enough about to game and respect the fact you seem to as well from your challenges to not try to call you on cheap grounds like "Well did you try obvious mechanic X, you must be toxic rain" (Btw never gone a toxic rain build in my life, nice guess though). I made my own builds and did all content, not FOTM trap bossers (gahaa), I avoided being a typical Metamancer. I was referencing people just starting out in the league and how dissuading it is for new players which is damaging to the overall game's community. I can screenshot pages of feedback and suggestions right now without a single eye catching topic on "Make game easier pls" but displays dissapointment on how build diversity has gone down and overall enjoyment of the game... can you do the same right now and capture pages of people asking the game to be easier? It really doesn't matter in the end because you've already dictated the fact that you think people asking for build diversity and for more chase items and disappointment over harvest crafting being completely decimated being "asking for ez mode". So it's not like I can win any arguement with you at this point. You enjoy the league, that's nice for you my broski. I'm not saying you don't have a right to enjoy it, but that won't change the fact the game took a giant population hit and a much larger majority of people dislike it then like it. I have genuinely liked the game ever since Nemesis even through their nerfs and buffs, but this was too much. To prove how "too much it is" Chris 'GGG' Wilson is already admiting the mistakes and oversights (Good on him admiting it) on reddit. I do not believe he is cowtowing, i think it was just a genuine overstep and he's working to rectify it. It's ok to be critical of the things you love, you know? You don't have to be so hot and cold about a subject. It isn't the haters versus the supporters. There is a ton of grey area. I bet the sting is even worse for HC players. " The game is not RNG though. There are things to work towards with a stable progression that you can't lose due to RNG. Whether it's currency, challenges, whatever. The difference with Harvest was that it was given to them, without having to engage with the rest of the game, without having to think about currency or anything. Just keep spamming that Haewark, sell nothing except maybe your crafts on a Discord and that's a guaranteed maxed character path, to a ridiculous power level, that completely walked around the game. Everyone could farm harvest, all it took is being able to get to yellow maps in Ritual Power Creep Central league. So everyone could "win" essentially. The toxic rain wasn't a specific oh you must be playing THIS, but a general example. Of course the game is hard for new players, we've all been there. I don't think new players should be guaranteed success. I think failure should make them more motivated to learn and figure it out for themselves. Nobody is going to say "Can the game be easier" spelled out like that. But whatever they claim to be asking for would have the effect that the game would be easier. The way to get "build diversity" is usually making it so it doesn't matter much to pick a build, because they're all good, because the game bar is lower so they all jump over it. If everything works that takes away from figuring out a build and making it, but I will agree that there are fewer good options now. It's something that can be balanced over time. Chris Wilson from Grinding Gear Games himself on reddit did no such thing. Sure the mana and flask things are getting a touch up, I don't think anyone was married to those. They're tuning in progress. Some costs are ridiculous, could be built around, but ultimately I don't think that will matter much. As for the flask thing, there was no CB immunity which was getting the people without the jewel, and the immunity for ailments in general was somewhat short. Extending that doesn't change anything about the patch making the game harder. You still have to use the same flask strategy of letting them autoremove ailments for you and pay the same cost of not really having flasks anymore. The people who complain about getting frozen will probably still complain because they're not automating it with the currency so they won't do it reliably. |

And on top of this it is the prime place where the streamers are putting their plots for luring even more "fanbase" toward to their channel - one of the place where the "troll builds" is actually born. That's just not serious. If it is about the freedom of the speech - which lack in this forum and generaly in PoE - ye. REDDIT is better for sure, but plotting the game in there, it just not happening as it were in the 2.x and pre 2.x.
