Its not games fault that you got bored of its mechanics but are to addicted to quit. Games are made to be played. I want to play and not hold RMB whole day (thats why i refuse to play cyclone in the first place). There are plenty of idlle clickers out there for you to enjoy that stuff. I dont want to be a fkn bot. I dont care that players play more and better then me. What i care about are the consequences of that playstyle listed above. All the bullshit we have in PoE was made to counter power creep but every player has to suffer because of it even if they were not part of the "zoom meta".



Want to preface this by saying I don't disagree with you about how the game needs fixing.


I just believe they are doing it wrong. Nerfing player power alone isn't the answer not when they already buffed monsters health to the moon in previous patches. Monster power creep is also a thing which they don't seem to concerned about. Yet it's a driving force as to why people stack so much damage that and the one shot mechanics. There is this entire "Just don't get hit" mentality which pushes people to do so much damage they can't get hit. This is because monster power is so out of control. The game really needs to tone down the monster health, and damage. While toning down the players damage, and recovery options. Otherwise the speed meta will always exist. There will be no reason to slow down, because slowing down will just result in BS deaths.

Well, it's simple. My friends LOVE D2 and have smoked Path of Diablo 2. They saw poe, and it's depth and tried it out. Well we all knew the new player experience is about as forgiving as shvoing glass under your fingernails.

They asked "you play a lot right? Wanna teach us next league?" I said "Sure, let me test some builds I know are good for beginners" So I loaded ultimatium and got to yellow maps quickly and said "Yea, about the same, I got some good speed, we got a few good starters, lets do this" Did a poison bladefall sin, few minion builds, popcorn skellies and srs. Game was what I wanted. I could scale speed, go fast, and work towards zoomin!

Well, then this mess happened and I did not see it coming at all. Maybe there was signs but, it was outta left field for me. But see, My friends are noobs, they dunno how crap this is. Why ruin their enjoyment of a game because I think it's garbage? If anything they will think the games FASTER playing with me cause they never really got how to go fast at all. NErfs or not Ill show em how to speed things up. They didn't taste the power creep and the speed I enjoyed after awhile.

Friends can make almost any game, even boring ones enjoyable, so to give them the experience I once had with poe I said I'll teach you. If Chris continues this dumb vision to make a dark souls arpg forgetting that arpgs just cannot have the depth of combat as dark souls could, I will move on. I am salty I am trapped here.

They need to start somewhere. They cant start with the monsters rebalance because that would make us immortal. They need to tone down dmg first so they wont have to increase monster power every single league. Because of power creep they were forced to make harder and more rippy content. We still have overkill dmg by few orders of magnitude. A player like me who completes like 300 maps whole league should never be able to even attempt red maps. And yet i have no problem with them, even t16. Our power is just stupid. Those nerfs are not nearly enough.

So much cool content was made irrelevant because of power creep its insane. People should embrace the challange instead of crying about it. Its like DS3 jurnalists that cried because the game didnt have easy mode for them. Like dude, get over it.
You keep using challenge but while it may be hard to you. It's NOT hard to me. These nerfs don't make the game harder for me, AT, ALL! It's just slower. It's more time invested doing the exact same thing but I am going to smoke the content other than the usual offenders (A8 sirius and whatever mavens super fight is mostly) only this time, it will be 40% slower.

You have failed to do anything to prove this is difficult for many players who have been here for years. Some a literal decades. It's the same game, slower. I never found most the content of this game hard. It being slower won't change that cause the monsters, and my character still WALK the same speed. I can dodge just as fine as before. So if I can do bosses hitless, deathless, with any build I want, you really think this is gonna make it harder?

This game isn't dark souls, it will never be dark souls. Souls-like and ARPG looter do not mix. They require two entirely different play styles and have two entirely different core fan-bases. I get this impression that you want the game to be dark souls ...but even if they nerfed players to the ground it's still missing key parts to make it possible even if they wanted to. One major thing being visability so low that even if there was some sort of indicator of what a enemy was about to do you wouldn't be able to see it anyways. Game isn't even listed as a souls-like game, or even difficult for that matter. So why you think that is what this game is is beyond me. However if that is the direction they are taking they really should decide to change their listing on steam to represent as such.

Nothing will be difficult for players that have been here for years. Thats harsh reality. For that you need new mechanics or to actaully be forced to do current ones for more then 3 seconds. As i said they have to start somewhere. Forcing you to "care" is a step in good direction. They need to care about years to come not only here and now and your specific needs.

Again you simply got bored of the game because you played it for to long. Its natural. You are looking now for a reasons to just be upset. Thats also normal. Happens in every single game. Everything gets boring if you do it for long enough.

At this point I see it as a pride thing. Most these 200 mirror players etc aren't on the forums going on about how challenging the game is and how amazing they are at it.

Mostly what I see is people wanting to say they play the very hard game and be credited for it. Kinda like what I saw dark souls as initally. A game played because it was hard so people can say they played the hard game.

People wanna feel like they accomplished something in life playing poe, when in reality, we are all accomplishing nothing, but I appeared to be having more fun than others.

You are missing the point. PoE became more of an bullet hell game (like Touhou Project) then ARPG. I want ARPG back. Thats all there is to it.
