I'm hyped for this minion, looking forward to seeing the data in patch notes.
As others mentioned, you can run reaper as a secondary dps source. As others mentioned, I'm curious to know how this interacts with indestructible minions like hoa, dervish, and spiders. Also, using skills like dark pact would circumvent the minion dmg penalty. I want to know what benefits the reaper gets from consuming minions. Is it just health regen or does it also gain attributes of the minions like crit chance or skills from specters. Depending on how strong the reaper is, maybe you could run a attack build and use reaper as a support minion. I see this as an animate guardian with a much lower summoning cost. People saying this minion has no cost to it are wrong. The cost is that you can't use other permanent minions! And the ones you do use have a dmg/life penalty lol |

Single minion, same problem as with Agony Crawler as in if you don't craft enough minion movement speed onto your gear it will feel like crap and its AI will leave you hanging often in tight spaces.
The problem with AI is that it will form time to time derp out and it is not a huge issue in standard summoner multi minion play as at least some of the pack will do what you expect them to. With only one minion it will be much more noticeable and annoying having to call him back from some weird corner when 3/4 of the screen is full of mobs trying to murder you. I don't expect much from this skill, even with proper gear, until GGG does something with current absolute enemy clutter, but that is common complaint for many skills at this point. |
