And what are we for Tencent ?

I know what is a p2p, the subject is not the business model !
If you want to play to diablo you are forced to buy the game, if you want new characters you are forced to buy the add-on, it is not the case for PoE, so the answer is no, we are not milky cows for Tencent, because you are not forced to spend your money for playing, so no need to make a diversion with another speech.

On launch I'm playing PoE2, because if you think a PoE launch is rough... Blizzard ones are much worse. I'd quickly transition over to D4 expecting it to be a shallow experience. Once I have seen the endgame, it's back to PoE as my "forever game."

If I am wrong and D4 is more to my liking than expected (and PoE2 is less), I'm going to play the best game available.
I prefer ARPG that are not as endgame centric as PoE or Diablo 3. So I will probably play neither PoE2 nor Diablo 4.

I might get some fun out of D2R. I'll buy it. I am enjoying Last Epoch currently. Haven't touched it's endgame though. Just rolling and leveling different classes.

To me, what the ARPG genra really needs is a serious update of the reward scheme. The whole "Kill more, get more" is extremely toxic to gameplay.

D2, TQ, GD... These games' gameplay don't suffer from it because they have no endgame. Yet people play(ed) them. A lot.
I mean it's no contest as we have no idea of what D4 will be like. And the last time they showed us skill trees and items it was lackluster at best.
PoE for life. Never again wasting a single $ on Blizzard products not that i had but i want to see them burn
D4 for sure. Been there done that with poe.
D4

If D4 is only nearly as good as the quarterly updates currently show. No one is playing PoE 2 anymore, the outdated engine alone brings even the most modern hardware to its knees. PoE is currently benefiting primarily from the lack of competition and many players are waiting for a new gaming experience. But let's see if D4 is really that fine or primarily just optically good.
GGG should more worry 3.16 and D2 remaster

ok.. you are clearly more a crpg player than arpg or even mmo player if that is your wishes. Killing more -> get more is the core design of ARPGs. It is the whole point of them. Heck that even goes for most MMOs. You are complaining against the game type you yourself have decided to play. Don't you see the irony in this?
