The very fast decline in the beginning means that many of the interested peeps left really early in the league.

As a casual, I indeed played less, most of the reasons were cited there:
no access to end game boss
boring game mechanics (and inscribed ulti also)
harvest crafting gutted

the biggest problem is the gap between casual and hardcore gamers has been widened a lot this league, mostly because of harvest nerf. AS a casual, you usually don't craft high end items but buy them, but because of this nerf they wre unaffordable

You're right; 'are we' is of course the right grammar here.

But you're wrong, though; external factors ARE ALWAYS relevant, even if they're hard/impossible to map and measure. The only thing we know, is that they make the graphs more irrelevant than some people seem to think. I wonder what experts would call statistics where the external factors are impossible to map and measure, and how valid those statistics are when it's not a "controlled environment".

But no matter. These threads are only based upon subjectivity, and people manipulating statistics to back their view. "I hate this league, so I'm going to do everything I can to make statistics fit my point of view" vs. "I don't mind this league, and I will do what I can to make your interpretation of the statistics seem like BS".

I said that I wasn't analizing the causes and they don't matter for what the charts show are the retention rates. Do we know if this is a relevant cause? Do we know if there are others causes and how relevant they are? We can speculate, but we just don't have the data.

But we know, for certain, that X% of concurrent players were lost after 15 days o a month for any given league. It's right there! And we can compare them.

I don't know what is subjective or manipulative about that.

The real question is: why in the flying fuck do you care so much? Move on. If you enjoy the game, play it. If you don't, don't play it; do/play something else.
