I just am not buying the luck argument. The Chaos Orbs flow like water from a faucet from these things. Here is the next 5 encounters
Chaos orbs flow... 🤭 so everybody is supposed to find the same ?! Most of the time I don't have 20% of that rewards in 10 ultimatums, you generalize.
The way they flow is why I know you're not being fully forthcoming. I have a nagging suspicion you don't finish the 7th wave a lot. Getting chaos orbs occasionally can maybe lead to a lucky streak. Getting them consistently on the 7th wave for an entire league is hard to write off as luck.
I'm more inclined to side with Tin_Foil_Hat about people exaggerating what they've completed/done.
I have nothing else to do since I've mostly accomplished everything I wanted to do this league. Maybe I'll just run 100 more and document the rewards. Not for me, since I've experienced it endlessly this league with little interruption in terms of rewards, but for documentation purposes.
Thanks for all the fish!

99% of the time a wave will end of 5 currency at #7. Ive tested this, its pretty much guaranteed. Oddly enough there were a handful of outliers where it would go into wave #8 but with 5 currency again then end.
Imo people are full of it or are extremely over exaggerating the amount of time theyve played of done things. This league is disgusting. The amount of raw wealth accumulated is crazy along with all the item drops.
Its not luck whatsoever, ultimatum is 100% programmed to seed in good items. Problem is most people are ignore doing it because the streamers said so and "they never drop good items and arent worth your time". Just like they say in relation to harvest. "It sucks and isnt worth your time" but anyone who knows how to craft is having no problems making their own gear and utilizing it as a FREE resource to craft their own items or items to sell. What a joke.
Thats just one of many jewels ive had drop that were absolutely fucking bonkers. I cant access my unique tab or id gladly link a bunch of 6L items as well.
Ive sold a ton of the rares ive used but i can tell you even if you farm low tier maps, and i literally mean like T1-5 maps just for the ultimatum you can come out with a pretty nuts profit for spending all of like 3 minutes rushing it and doing it.
Im on my second character of the league and still getting hella drops. Best drops ive had from Trial Master actually havent even been the raw currency, its been the jewels. On top of the corrupted rare jewels ive also gotten quite a few of those unnatural instincts, those went for like 12-15ex a pop.
This league is going to be hard to top imo, its second to breach for me.
That jewel is sweet. I know I've sold many jewels for an exalt+ but I can't remember any specifically. Probably the best I've gotten was raw currency though. I received 5 Exalted Orbs on a wave 10. That one sticks out.
Well, even your steamdb shows current ultimatum numbers already lower than worst numbers in previous league, with 3 weeks still to go. That's just looking at the numbers. Not graphs. So good attempt, but you just can't manipulate the numbers like you did the graph there.
Woah chill out there dude. I wasn't trying to attack anyone. I wasn't even making an argument. It was a PSA. And I didn't manipulate any numbers, those aren't even my screenshots. :(
And yeah, I agree with you that all the numbers are showing clearly that Ultimatum is dropping faster than other recent leagues. Again, I wasn't making any argument against this.
I'm sorry. This is my bad.
Gotten so used to these people always attacking me for everything I say, that I become too defensive and over reacted your post. I do apologize.

For me the problems of PoE came down to the fact that GGG only has a "one trick pony" game. I quit in the spring of 2019 after I had completed my only major quest of this game, to farm 27 Oni-Goroshi swords to match the 27 cards needed for getting an OG. I completed that grind and then lost all interest in this game. Here are my reasons.
1. As a very average player I have never liked the endgame super massive map grind past level 90. GGG scaled up the mountain climb to reach level 100 many times over the years as the "super racers" would reach level 100 in < 1 week (top fanatic players did this in 3 days by non-stop playing at league start).
2. As the new league mechanics added up over the years the complexity of this game exceeded my desire to learn them and leverage the ones that made it into the core game. That and GGG always made a league mechanic be at about 10% viability when it was added to the core game. Thus (for me) a fun league mechanic was only available (encountered) at about 10% of what it was during that league. This meant that in the hours played I could expect to only engage a specific mechanic from a previous league 1/10th as often. Thus, whatever the reward that I would receive took 10 times longer to achieve, another time grind extension to the already tiresome endgame grind.
3. A total failure of the ability to trade for all players! The only way to sell anything is by being logged in to receive and respond to a WTB message? Come on GGG, that's like using a homing pigeon to send messages to communicate in the 21st century! GGG's total failure to implement a real time buy/sell messaging system that didn't require being logged into PoE 24/7 to access is a total failure of trading. Trading was and is only for the no-lifer PoE junkies for the most part. Years back I posted suggesting that GGG code a smart phone app that would alert you of a WTB so you could have a real life and still be able to sell items without the need to be chained to your gaming rig logged into PoE to receive a WTB. That never happened so I never sold a single item and only bought very few items (spamming trade chat is super boring/frustrating).
4. "One trick pony" - GGG has coded PoE such that the level of difficulty is fixed and is not adjustable like other RPG games of this type like Diablo. This means that over time as more and more players raced to level 100 in the first week of league start the difficulty bar was raised, and raised, and raised some more until Chris and company got the quantity of level 100 builds to a low enough number in the first week of a new league. That is all fine and well for the top elite players who ask for "more harder please" all the time. But what of the +98% rest of the players. We were all killed off on the "trail of tears" (the ever increasing map grind to level up). GGG has no solution to this problem and never will.
5. 3 months from league to league = super buggy code. On the surface getting a new league every 3 months sounds fantastic as a player. But the cost of this is the reality that the new league is in a beta code state of development all the time, or worse (a few leagues I'd label the code as alpha). With so many flaws to deal with all the time this put a huge damper on the fun.
6. Similar to the bug problems of PoE were the constant performance problems. With such a short development cycle and the fact that GGG was a garage startup, PoE never had a proper game engine from the start. This "learn as you code" method of programming for PoE has created a fuggly mess of code that will never ever have any good performance on average computer hardware. I finally achieved acceptable frame rates when I upgraded to an 8 core HT Intel processor at 3.4 GHz and a Nvidia 1060 graphics card on Windows 10 Pro. Anything less and my frame rates plummeted at every turn. I had to skip Breach League entirely as getting near any breach caused my ATI video card to die (2 to 3 fps). Only shelling out for faster hardware would solve performance problems like this. Yet Diablo III and my other games played smoothly and well on that same hardware. Starting a game company on a shoe string budget has severe drawbacks, and it definitely showed with PoE's poor to bad performance.
this is so good!!!
Plenty of people saying this is 'good', and they must mean it in the sense that it conforms to their feelings because the bulk of it doesn't conform to reality.
1. It is easier to get to level 100 today than ever before. If you charted how long it takes to get to 100 over time you could draw a very obviously downtrending line through the league to league data points.
2. One new thing is added every three months. That is not outside of anyone's ability to learn something new. One often-simple game concept to learn in 3 months. And sure they chop the appearance rate, but they also pile the leagues on top of each other. So 10% progress x10 leagues at a time = 100% progress in whatever the current league is. Now that we have something like 30 league mechanics in the game this could only be construed as bad if you disliked more than 70% of leagues.
3. Trade - horse beaten to death, not happening.
4. Your difficulty is adjustable by multiple levers; map tier and how aggressively you roll it and the strength of build you're playing and the league you choose to play in.
5. It's true that slower release schedules could yield less buggy releases. But that assumes they keep the scope the same. If they took an extra month for leagues but tried to do 33% more content, you'd expect roughly the same amount of bugs all else being equal.
6. I can't speak on someone else's personal experience with performance. Generally mine has improved every year since Perandus.
T1-T5... very funny ! 😑 rewards are random nobody choose, if it was so easy I'll be rich, even with T16 i'm not.
I feel trolled in responding to you previously. It dawned on me to see how many (if any) of the conditionals you had completed just to get an idea of how many times you've see the Trialmaster. Zero. I'm not saying you should have completed the tether challenge, but at least one of the easier ones.
Then I noticed you had not even completed the challenge to beat him. It didn't even occur to me that you had not even beaten him; something that I think anyone who claims they finish most ultimatums would have done (at least once).
Ultimatum had some flaws, but lacking in currency reward was never one of them.
