Trade bots ever banned? Reporting feature exist?

It won't. Auction will make the trade slow and impossible to get cheap items for the average John Doe. Ppl asking to add auction are just trolls.

How so, lol. To the contrary, the average John Doe may actually be able to buy his goldrim or tabula or whatever in the middle of the league without a lot of copypasta and fffffrustration (and for new players that is a thing, let's say 3 of 5 people i recommended to try poe left for more or less that reason alone).

Umm, and speaking from experience of flipping things back in delve and before, three and a half active flippers in some niche of that pixel market was enough to guarantee that John Doe won't get his cheap item anyway, no exceptions.

Support just comments they've forwarded to the appropriate team members. How long does it take for someone to figure out it is impossible for any human to be online 24/7.

For hoo-man, maybe not. For his computer, why not. Say i remember leaving it on for at least a week with the game running while playing trade back in delve - ya know, trade is pathetic in general, so i had to resort to redirect these incoming whispers to my mobile via pushbullet to not miss the deal, however lame of a crutch that was. Even while being asleep, i actually got a couple whispers for these few sorta-niche items listed for 20-50 egg-salts and actually sold them to same people later thanks to leaving the client open, hehe.

So, maybe the "clown" you mentioned isn't running a bot, mmkay. Even if he is, its just a game, if you like it, you can always play some kind of ssf and forget about "muh ee-conomy" completely.

where you dont have the option to bid on an item, just the fixed price set by seller and then an automatic send to you when buy it.

Ya know, the PS4 port has something akin to WoW trade house. Their trade system is COMPLETELY different than the PC. Let's say Player A want's to sell something. A stash tab like window pops up with the item you want to sell, put item in stash window and close window. Item stays in window and out of inventory. Player B wants to buy something. Player searches for items and can choose to search only for those online or they can chose for to search for those offline as well.(remember this for later)

Player B sees an item they want, they take out the currency from their inventory and put it into the stash window with the item icon and its stats etc on the left and wait. If seller is on and sees that a trade has been pushed, they will then accept by a button click and the item switches to currency. Player B can do this with offline players to. They will put the asking price in the window and wait. You can "bank" multiple trades and you will see vertical tabs in the trade window with all the trade buys you have going.

When buying or selling, the currency/items sits in a "waiting" trade tab until transactions are done. You can be offline and still trade your items. When you log back, currency/items will be waiting for you in the trade tab window and you just select it and put it in your stash. It's also anonymous too which is weird and you don't trade face to face.

Here is a quick video showing you if my explanation went too in depth and off the rails...

You don't need to watch it from the beginning, all you need to know is already timed marked.

TBH, I don't like the way its setup as its completely anonymous and impersonal, tho the "banking trade house" system is kinda cool, I don't know if this would ruin the PC version if this was in place.
Trading on the PS4 sucks tho and the searching is NOTHING like on the official trade section

Fellow exiles! It has fallen upon me and therefore is my duty to report that the gods have reigned justice down upon Wraeclast. The rotten botter that I spoke of has been slain! I shall not name any names here or point any fingers towards the direction of said fiend botter(to avoid anymore post being taken down).

GGG has graced Wraeclast with their presence. Faith has been renewed amongst Wraeclast's citizens! ("1" being me :D) It only took 16 days since my initial report and a barrage of consistent badgering/reports. In the end justice prevailed. Today Wraeclast stands free 1 less botter!

You ask how does one know such information if GGG does not spill a word of actions against accounts?

The answer is simple! His account status says banned!

I noticed for a brief second that our botting fiend had gone offline to only appear again shorty after. Not long after I seen he was offline for an unusually extended period of time! I said to myself! What in damnation is this! By the golden arse of innocence! What is this anomaly! I have to get to the bottom of this! What could cause such an anomaly in this foul fiends behavior!

I searched and scoured and our botting fiends account has the Banned tag!

PRAISE!

16 long days of torture and pure dissent has been lifted!

So here is a message to any of you trade site botters out there. If an actual human being decides to play a corner of the market that you are targeting. Don't get greedy and back off otherwise you will just bring attention to yourself. And if the person on the other end is as persistent as me the outcome may just be the same for you.

They just changed the portion of the trade that is difficult. Searching for the right item on consoles is very hard. Getting it is easy. Or at least easier.

Searching for the right item on PCs is simple. Getting it is manual (I struggle to call it hard because it really isn't). But some people struggle with it so I'll be sympathetic to that.

Either way, they created friction differently, and on purpose. I don't feel like explaining why if anyone asks. It's become tiresome. Just read the trade manifesto if you want to know why the friction.

Well it appears the ban has been lifted off of his account already lol. The ban tag has been removed from under his Account name/portrait. Is this real life?

Yes he is back online now just sitting in his h/o. For some reason they decided to lift the ban and also let him keep his stockpile of items that his bot farmed for him.

He also went ahead and made his account profile private.

You know it's sad, even after his ban lift his account has now been online for over 24 hours. Took a nice recording of him online while I slept with OBS(20GB File) and monitored him all day while I farmed and sold vinktar maps. Great job GGG at culling rampant botters. This guys account isn't that old. Less than 6 months if I recall correctly. Can't reference it since it is now private. He has 1 character level 100. Bunch of Farrul's furs, 91 t14 vinktar maps, 88 perandus manor t14 maps and a lot more but I'm too lazy to go further into it.

He has gone offline a few times for no less than one minute. Could've been dc's or a function of the bot to have some variance.

Now how does a noob have such wealth?

Even after his ban he has the audacity to lower the price of vinktar maps down to 40c and not sell for the entire duration that I'm online and still be online for 24 hours. What more can a legit player do to bring attention and cull this cancer from the game.

How many brain cells does the owner of this bot have? Just putting himself right in plain sight again in the exact same market where he brought attention to himself the first time.

And you know what is even more wild? GGG left all the stockpile his bot accumulated untouched. Just lifted his ban and said be a good boy.

This doesn't look like your regular trade bot, hehe, neither character level nor the items.
However little of achievement is level 100 in SC trade league, it means he actually played long enough to get it (or bought chalupa rotas and whatnot, who cares). And well, unique items/maps just aren't the right stuff.
Your regular spherical trade bot in a vacuum is usually some low-level character, often not even ascended; it deals in pixel "currencies" only and its generic hideout is usually full of other players. Checking if its a bot is very simple - just whisper "i wanna buy your X blahblah for my Y yadayada", get invited, then try to scam it, providing wrong pixels and/or amount - it'll close/reopen the trade window several times, then silently kicks you instead of usual "curse ya, ya momma and ya dog, ya dirty scammer" response and moves on to the next "customer".

Umm, and some hundred egg-salts nowhere classifies as "such wealth", considering current pixel inflation. If i looked at the right "noob", he said it himself in the guild section of forum: <<Month & Year You Started Path of Exile:Mar 2021>>, so maybe, just maybe, someone in his guild taught him a little on flipping shit, mmkay.

The usual, about 100bil+- neurons and even more glial cells.

But anyway, if you enjoy playing detective, please ignore all that, i don't wanna spoil your fun by any means.

Your main measure of the person being a bot is online a lot and not trading? Being online 24 hours doesn't mean anything. I've been online for a week before; as I walk away and forget/don't log out. I don't recommend it btw, the game seems to have a memory leak and PC performance seems to take a hit when doing that.

How are you checking if they are active consistently over that 24 hours? How are you sure it's a bot and not a person that just plays a lot?

GGG banning then unbanning the account certainly lends itself to potentially not being a bot. And more importantly, I doubt someone who was just banned would go back to botting immediately, particularly on an account that they've actually played on.

Have you checked to see if the account weighs the same as a duck?

He has been BANNED again. I know a bot when I see one and when I trade with one. I did multiple imcomplete trades with this bot and could just loop it endlessly until I got put on his ignore list. As for being online yes you can be online and be afk but the differentiating factor here is that his online time vs afk time are like 99% online to 1% afk.

Now you ask how can I know if he his online or afk? Quite simple the trade site tells you the status of a character.

I'm just glad this loser is banned and I hope this time around it's for a significant period of time. But my hunch tells me someone with 88 perandus maps is being fed by guild members along with the lvl 4 empowers and many more items. This account most likely was just used for trading items off so the owner(s) could play and farm more. But in the end greed got the best of them and they turned their bots buy feature on to generate even more currency therefore interfering with legit players.

So even a permaban would seem fair.
