Trade bots ever banned? Reporting feature exist?

Yup this clown is still online. I get that trading is clunky and I know that an AH will be the worst thing added considering that it will be taken over by bots sniping everything.

What would be a nice addition to the trading system we already have is some kind of ui window within the game where people can offer to buy said item and if the seller accepts the sale, the item is taken out and delivered to the other party. Also leave and option for lower and higher offers and the the individual can
choose which to accept.
He is still online...
Reporting this to us does nothing. Report it to support. The problem isn't "this guy". It's systemic. If they ban this guy, the person running it will simply set up a new account and be back at it in under 5 minutes. Accounts are free. The amount the owner would lose is trivial compared to how much he's gained.

The only control you have is yourself.

I'm curious if GGG ever bans people for trade botting. This is the first league that I really ever hit the AH consistently for long periods of time buying and selling. There is this one person who I will not name publicly and said person is legit on 24/7. I have no idea if it's a main account of his that he just leaves running all night to buy the items for him but it is sure as hell annoying having to compete with a bot when you are doing everything manually/legitimately.

Is there a report function?

I know it's hard to understand, but you would hate trading without bots (more like you hate it now).
You ever tried to buy something in bulk? Have fun buying 24x "random map tier 14+" one by one and then countless scarabs and other stuff to prepare a mapping session.
Sure, there are real ppl selling in bulk too, but not by far enough to handle all the buyers.
And as the last point, they don't affect you in any negative way. They don't raise up the prices for you, they don't let you wait cause "sry I am in map" or try to scam you with item/currency swapping.
The only thing they do is flipping currency.

No bots can do whatever they are setup to do not just currency. I have been playing the trade site for the past two weeks and the only thing I hate about it is these cheater turds who clearly have an advantage. I've probably done well over 1000 trades so far and that is the way it is. GGG needs to keep the playing field level.

Edited:

I forgot to add. Yeah sure they can just make another account but it costs money to sell items in this game. Trade tabs are not free.

If that's your reasoning... can't say I support you. You're basically saying that other people have to put up with the lack of service so that you can charge more for yours. Not the reason I would use if I was going to go on a crusade against botting.

What would help would be a player-side text filter, where we could drop in custom phrases and have the filter screen out those comments.

Because the spam bots are all using the same message. It doesn't even have to be the entire message in the filter, just a consistent text string.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'
Sigh. They would just change their message. You can't beat these people unless you really want to impose on legit players. They've figured it out. They're better at it than you are.

Agreed. The RMT spammers are far more irritating than the trade bots.

However, I do find it interesting that there seems to be one single RMT spammer site that I see in global. If the text of the message has changed over the last few weeks, I haven't noticed it.

Since I have reported it so many times when I see it and nothing appears to ever be done, I'm concluding that it is an authorized/sanctioned/approved RMT trade site. I'd like to be proven wrong in this and it should be trivial to do so.

If i have to trade with a player who tells me "i'm in lab" or "wait 5 min , i'm in a map " or whatever reason and a trade bot who instantly tells me " bla bla bla trade , ready to go " , i should chose the player because , why ?

Do people actually believe that people running automated trade bots are doing so to "help the community" or to "earn some exalts on the side"? Ignorance is bliss, I guess. If you'd like to fund RMT, use your trade bot. But never talk bad about RMT if you're using trade bots. That would be too hypocritical.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
