what build should i play as a casual to beat all the content in the game?
" Not a good argument at all. How many hours have BalorMage in this game overall ? 15k... 20k ? He had to play 16 hours a day for years, to have the knowledge of crafting and game mechanics and boss mechanics, to be able to pull that off. EDIT : Honestly, the closest you will get to a build to finish them all as casual player, is what a friend of mine does. He play ED Trickster, every league for years now. The build has been strong for for ever, and that is all he plays. So by now he knows everything there is around that one specific build, and in casual hours he gets through most of the content. Still not everything, but at least gets to experience some end-game fights. Still required him years to, in limited gaming time, develop his knowledge of the game to that point around that single build. "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. " So? He did it in less than a month, last I checked leagues do last 3 months. Besides being knowledgeable he is a mediocre player at best. He isnt crafting at all aside from flasks but he is trading. Anyone can do that, doesnt require a lot of knowledge. The rest you mentioned, like game mechanics and boss mechanics, I´ll simply ignore. If you dont know this stuff, you have zero business in endgame let alone beating the toptier bosses in this game, which was the stated goal. Last edited by Orbaal#0435 on May 28, 2021, 4:43:57 AM

Not going to go back and forth with you on this. You ignore the important facts, just to keep arguing.

The only difference between your and my point is, that you are looking at this from a noob or close to noob perspective and in this specific scenario, you are right.
However if you´ve played this game for years, accumulating several thousand hrs, farmed several HHs and beaten all bosses several times, which is what OP did, then you arent right. The differece is between unknowledgeable casual and knowledgeable casual. OP claims to be the latter, so he should be able to pull it off. Your friend might not be, so he isnt able to pull it off. Thats all there is to it. |

Sounds like a efficiency issue. When i do a 5 hour session, more than half of that would be spent being afk in hideout and yet got to beat sirus8 already.
You can't just be running maps to try and make currency or some other random goal. Everything you do must have a purpose. Running maps to raise map level. Run map to spawn conquer, or get maven witness for atlas passives, or to get the map drop bonus higher or whatever. All actions should have a purpose of advancing or you just wont get anywhere in a reasonable time. If your goal is just to do stuff for the sake of trying to make some currency to buy better gear or to just get xp for leveling, you are going to need a lot more playtime than just playing casually. If im broke i run heist or trade or whatever i found to work for me that league. If i want to level i delve because it is consistent and predictable. If i want to move forward i map Most strategies work just fine as long as you are always moving towards the goal and not just doing stuff for the sake of hoping to get rich quick. |

it is an efficiency issue, casuals don't finish all the content because its not that interesting to follow a guide to the letter and methodically approach all the content.
It isn't because its too expensive or hard just not that desirable. |

No one seems to answer you but you need something cheap and good. I'd do a self chill zerker. You can even do it SSF if you can chance the Impulsa.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IdArVfPjBw1ce9rqa0J1IinxR1pQ9-jG9nJ_UThQ7ao/edit Another build is any of the PoH MoM Archmagi builds. Ball lightning, arc, etc.. They need fairly cheap items like mana/regen on all gear atziri foible, Cloak of defiance 5L, and Pledge of hands 6L. Cost little more but not too bad. Third any BFBB build. Too click happy for me though. Fourth Dozens of Summoners if thats your thing. Many many many more... I beat all content SSF in leagues I play but only one toon...I play 2-5hrs on Sunday and takes me all 3 months - like beat maven and feared last weekend of last league after 90% already quit. Usually roll my own builds since i know game fairly well. The key is persistence and efficiency because even 2-5 hrs a weekend is same time as someone who nolifes first week so you can do same as they do in three months. Thing is most ppl quit because they "want it now" instead of in it for long game like the turtle racing a rabbit. You can't quit if casual and beat everything. Git R Dun! " Casuals Must learn efficient atlas techniques (see leapfroggin) must learn what to skip (about 95% of game Delve, Temples, beast, etc) Must learn systems worth taking like Betrayal. Must learn efficient conquer spawn techniques (mesa map). Must not trade in 1c-10c items. etc etc etc Or you'll ne ver get anywhere. That time can be learned anywhere. At the office, on a laptop while dozing off in bed, whatever but you must learn efficiencies because 99% of game is tedious unrewarding make wok. I really hate how recipes are all over now making you do these ineffective systems. Since 3.5 game sucks SSF because you can't skip many systems/maps like I used to. And dont even get me started on unveiling. Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on May 28, 2021, 11:02:46 AM

You don't need to learn any of that to do the game though aside from how the Atlas works everything else you've listed is how to make more currency which you don't need if your following a cheap guide on SC.
The point of playing is to have fun though not beat all the content i don't really know why you'd set yourself up in such a way. |
