Maven and the Invitations.

I don't think we play the same game. Last season I made a discharge ele. I had good gear, but none of the op harvest stuff. Did about 12M Sirus DPS. I had high armor, 6K health, excellent sustain, and so on. That wasn't enough. With all the crazy mechanics in the last phase, I never beat her. Also, some of the initiations were crazy. I never beat the Breachlord one. Their damage was so over the top.

What was the solution? Make a character that did like 50M+ dps so that the enemy dies before it's able to do anything.

So, yeah. While my discharge ele was able to clear a screen at a time on T16 maps, it couldn't do the content that the game put out.

I’m extremely surprised to hear that you struggled with nearly anything with 12mil Sirus dps. I’m happy when my builds have 3-5mil, and the only content I can’t do is Maven due to it being extremely mechanical bullet hell. I really wouldn’t use Maven as a metric for whether a build is good, either.

I’ve wrecked all other content with 5mil Sirus dps and am pretty convinced that’s all you need. In fact, that’s about as much as many builds can affordably get without harvest gear (glad that’s gone) or sacrificing a ton of defense - depends on the build, of course.

I think folks are often putting too much emphasis on damage and not enough on balancing defenses, QoL, speed, etc. I think there’s also a tendency not to recognize that some builds are better are certain content than others - your discharger seems awesome for mapping, so I’d stick to using it that way and not worry about its bossing performance.

Anyway, regarding the thread’s topic, this league didn’t offer as much exciting stuff as 3.13, and certainly had quite a few nerfs (although so did 3.13). It’s easy to fall for the illusion that the game’s going downhill, when in reality it was just impossible for GGG to top itself.

Next league will likely bring plenty of powercreep, don’t worry. I’m hoping for reworks of old skills, as always. If 3.14 isn’t your thing, just be patient.

Its easy. I played many years (12) lineage2. It felt like a job. I quit and joined an arpg because its more enjoyable game, and friendly.

I watched his video and to be fair he doesn't even say anything concrete when criticizing the game. It sounds more like some identity crisis or burnout. The guy just wants something more from his life and feels that streaming/gaming is not fulfilling for him anymore. And that's completely fine, but I just don't see how one's personal problems, burnout or lack of fulfillment is the game's fault.

Yikes imagine writing all that. You do 12m dps and you can't kill maven or its invitations. With that dps you kill and insta phase all and any of these bosses in less than 6 seconds.

Maybe this isn't so obvious: bad players are not entitled to clear or even be rewarded from every content. Otherwise it wouldn't be called a reward would it. It would instead be called a participation trophy.

I've beat both sirus 8 and maven with 472K BV dps. takes practice and in that case an ability to take a lick because you will take them... no one plays perfect. Well maybe tie23 but he quit. Only fights you need serious dps is Feared and maybe Hidden maven invitations because you will be overwhlemed as whole screen gets overwhelmed in seconds if you dont take a couple out at start
