Standard vs trade league

Hello ppl!.

I've been playing this game on and off for some leagues already and even if im not an experienced crafter or farmer, I have managed to get to "endgame" every league I've played, so I've had some fun and achievements done.

Sadly, after Ritual ends I won't be able to play next league as intense as I've played Ritual, so im planning in just stay in standard and play when I can.

My question is:
do ppl still play standard? or is it just a cemetery where ppl don't even trade at all?
I did a search in trade site for fun and I saw that a similar wand I could buy in trade league for 30ex, in standard costed at least 1 mirror.
I'm afraid I won't be able to afford any upgrade if I stay in standard next league.

Standard is a very lively place since. 3.13 i feel like my friendlist and general activity has never been higher than before.

Regarding prices it depends some items (everything short of perfection) are dirt cheap but if you are looking for perfect or close to perfect items its usually a mirror service.
It also depends if something you looking for is part of a meta build (for example mana/blade vortex gear) or not. Its hard to answer in general.

Making currency in 3.13 is also quite charming in standard. R/A life for example sells for 12 to 15 ex each. R/A speed roughly sells for 30ex on the market and r/a influence between 15 and 20ex.

Playing a lot of standard since the anouncement of the coming harvest nerf to use the last time for some improvements by harvest crafting.
Also because I missed some leagues, I had to complete my atlas again and also have those awaken bonus done.
With the characters from standard it is very smooth to play and I can use what I collected in the last years.
I noticed there are other people playing and also trading, if you want.
As you mentioned the cost for items in Non-league is very expensive compared to the leagues. If you want to play standard in near future, I would advise to make some trades that will pay out, when you get to standard.
So standard is not dead, there are lot of other players that have done league ritual or even did not participate.
Yes, standard can be fun.

Standard players are mostly either mega nolifers or mega scrubs.
The worst part about Standard though is that the trading is abysmal and the prices are all messed up for majority of items.

You might have to pay 20C for a 1C item in league because too few people are selling items.

Id like to add a third category of people which are probably most populated in standard: Long term players that look for consistency and like to play their favourite builds without starting from scratch each league.

Standard is OK, but I am afraid for its future after first releasing Harvest crafting to Standard, and then taking it away... really not good for the economy there. Also, kind of kills your gear progression if you already have Harvest crafted gear. Makes me sad.

League isn't really for me either (any more), the amount of grind necessary has become pretty unreal.

If they gave me tools I would need to clean out my standard stash, I'd likely spend more time there.

Actually I feel relieved with what im reading here.

I already have a build which is capable of clearing most content.
I know it's not the fastest or the tankiest, but can have the work done.

So as far as Standard is not dead and you can still chat with ppl and trade the "usual suspect" stuff like maps or gems you are missing, etc, ill be happy.

I don't mind if its a bit overpriced, since you are not tied to 3 months for everything, so I can relax and farm my way.

yeah std is quite active. And for the most part u will have a better experience in trading too. Most "trolls" play trade leagues. In std u have a more mature overall playerbase. I usually play std and do a league from time to time, like I played this league and now Ill skip 1 or 2 to refine and min max a couple of chars in std.

Btw to farm currency in std is a bit diferent than trade leagues. U need to find out what people want or is in demand in market and focus so u can make a good profit from it. Rn is selling harvest and maven invitations/marven orbs. Like someone mentioned u can farm a mirror relatevely quickly just by farming harvest and selling remove/adds.

I feel ur pain... But u know u can hide remove only tabs now right? I honestly didn't knew about it till a couple of days ago. So u can just move the most important stuff u need and hide the rest for good.
