Are you tired of that harvest whine posts/threads too?

I don't actually think that it is the Harvest change that is the real, underlying problem here. It is the development philosophy that is behind it - which basically states that if you grind enough, you can have everything, and rewards go up exponentially with time investment. And the idea that the majority has to be locked out of this because... reasons.

Delirium fractured maps, Heist blueprint duping, Headhunters, OP elevated mods, ... there are a lot of things that go into the same direction.

Harvest was just a very obvious one, and exceptionally poorly communicated on top of that.

Short of early league exploits that are patched out quickly, you're not "locked out" of anything. If someone else is doing it, you can do it too. If you're short on time, game knowledge or skill, you should manage your expectations accordingly or adapt.

There is nothing you can't grind for, and that includes SSF. Though I would caveat that with if you grind so slowly that the game changes while you grind, then I would agree. I would argue that if you want something and something you're doing keeps you from getting it, then you should change the way you're doing it. The game shouldn't adapt to you.

So, you are telling me that I can do anything, unless I can't. You are contradicting yourself there. Yes, I am locked out of e.g. Headhunters in league. Completely unrealistic for someone like me.

The problem is the highly exponential reward system in PoE. Trade exaggerates the problem. SSF isn't an option because the game isn't designed for it, it is designed for trade. Standard gets meta shifts every three months, things get added all the time, and now also taken away. Gear progression is completely broken in Standard now, after Harvest is heavily nerfed. So where does that leave casual players? You tell me, what shall I do in this game? Or shall I just find another game and spend my money elsewhere? And if so, is that a good thing for GGG?

No, I said there is one thing that you are locked out from; that's not a contradiction, that's admitting the one thing you can potentially get locked out from (exploits at the beginning of a league). Since it appears you are a Standard player, that does not apply. Everything else you can do if you adapt accordingly. Like I said, the game should not adapt to you. You absolutely can get a HH if you grind for it. The price in Standard for a HH has been pretty stable for a while from what I can see. You just need to grind the currency to get one. If you play SSF, well, that's a self-inflicted wound where I would expect you to manage your expectations to that choice.

I would say that losing players because they disagree with a decision by a developer is perfectly fine. You can't make everyone happy all the time. I think keeping Harvest as it was, would have been a mistake. It was just too easy to make top shelf items.

Could they have nerfed it differently? Absolutely. I'm fine with how they did it though. Things like account binding are not great choices in my opinion for this genre.

Making everything available to everyone including all their shortcomings as a player would ruin the game.
Thanks for all the fish!
and yet, not a single harvest was given today...
Anyone who feels locked out of content by virtue of the game being too grindy is probably going to be 99.9% unaffected by the Harvest changes they announced so far. They're not removing it from the game.
No, we're tired of people complaining about people complaining about harvest.

With all cheat legacy gear, Standard was ALWAYS broken in terms of gear - If you want to have any reasonable gear progression there, Standard would need a full wipe, and I doubt it will happen.

The best part GGG won't back down shit if this was blizzard they would have already reverted the nerf by day 2.

Good on GGG.

Lmao now were are praising GGG for catering to elite players, alienating their larger player base, and essentially shooting themselves in the face from a balance perspective.

What a joke. GGG can do whatever the fuck the want to their game, but I dont want to hear any bullshit and an apology manifesto when the numbers come out and they get absolutely slaughtered by D2R.

Do you know how many other things GGG should be working on ?

Sure let's gut Harvest for 99% of players and not focus on the games performance, stability, loot table misery, game bloat, and map/region balance.

And before I hear they can do multiple things at once, show me when that was ever true. They do a poor job a spreading their resources and that combines with leadership making poor decisions on what they think is "important". (ie Harvest)

D2R? You play that for a month you don't play that forever stop it and I bet you don't even know what D2 end game was if you think it's a replacement LOL.

Ego mode activated lets go what have you done in D2? The game was all about rune hunting speed clearing baal runs that's it that's the entire game there's no new content.

I bet you didn't even have a 99 HC either because it was the same thing.

Baal runs and rune hunting meph farming every ladder.

You going to call that slaughtered? Oh please all they did was apply a paint job.

You got nothing.

Think that will replace PoE and be slaughtered? Far from it. Take those goggles off it doesn't help.
