King of Bullshit: 10% death penalty
Generally speaking, there tends to be so much clutter on the screen that even watching the game in slow motion reveals very little information about what actually resulted in death.
On top of this, there has been no combat log for the entire decade of this game's existence. There isn't even an announcement about what dealt the killing blow, only "you have been slain". There is no serious justification for regressive penalties, regardless of context, if the game doesn't even provide the bare minimum quality of feedback. |

Death penalty and portals are there to teach players not to nosedive into every encounter without adjusting their playstyle/builds. I think it is actually on a pretty fair spot as it is right now. I wouldn't mind if they removed the penalty from standard though. Now if they should adjust something it should be xp groups in 5 way Legion. That is the true king of bullshit of this game. :) Standing still doing nothing should NEVER ever be the best way to gain xp.

2023 and ppl still "fight" for an AH and for removing the 10% DP? How is that even possible? I mean GGG made their position clear about 10000000000 times and ppl still don't get it? #amazing

" Big deal, maybe a lot of us think GGG is wrong about these issues & should be more willing to listen about changing them. I honestly don't see how removing the death penalty would change anything. It only seems to hold back the people who don't have time to play more. |

There has to be some kind of penalty for dying. I would be interested in what others think is a fair price to pay for dying. Maybe disable loot drops for the instance if a player has died?

" Dude if someone tells you THIS IS HOW WE WANT IT for more than 10 years and THEY ALWAYS DID IT THEIR WAY don't you think it would be reasonable to think that they will continue to do it their way? If I had a dollar for every thread about an AH or getting rid of the DP I think I could afford to buy all the games that I want for the rest of my life. ^^ German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!

" There are already penalties. Maps have portals, Heist has loot loss, Delve costs you Energy, the Lab costs you the entrance fee. I dont see room for the XP penalty to be existant. The game simply doesnt educate players and offers little information about what exactly happens so learning from a death is not realy a possible. Even from a visibility side its bad as many effects are hardly visible in different conditions or if effects start to layer which creates the semingly random insta deaths. |
