Is PoE the only game where people flock to it then try to change it at its core?
And accuse it of being shit if it isn't changed to suit them.

If anything, GGG ignored 90% of our feedbacks anyway especially the league mechanics and QoLs.

" now-a-days? i don't think it is, unfortunately maybe that attitude would change some if it actually cost money to play? probably not. IMO its become a problem how transparent GGG likes to be with their plans and such. they need to act more blunt and direct to the playerbase. make changes you want, don't explain them or reasoning behind it, just do it. manifestos should no longer be a thing. just outline the changes in patch notes. quick like a band-aid |

are you referring to the harvest nerf? because none of US changed the game to include harvest, GGG did

Take a trip back in time to what this game was before these bombastic mega-leagues and daily released MTX became a thing, and tell me with a straight face that POE hasn't changed at it's core.
This is a buff™

" completely agree with this, it gives the worst kind of players the belief they have advocacy when they don't and frankly I think it encourages this kind of throwing the toys out of the pram style tantrum at the slightest change. It'd help if actual moderation occurs too though there7 is a great deal of sensationalist trolling that goes on sadly |

It's not. People do that in most of the games I play. They even do it in Minecraft. Any game forum with "suggestions" is going to draw people who like to think that they could change things for the better.

Nah I played D3 since release and what a shit storm of commentary. I loved it but whatever. this commentary continued until they made game BoA which I thought stupid and came here.
Whats funny is how you change over time. I loved the trade game esp when real cash was involved like at D3 AH now all I play is BoA. But then again this game changed a lot to accommodate that play style. Remember when you couldnt even sustain maps? Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Mar 12, 2021, 2:11:43 PM

no OP that is basically every single thing, its the difference between hobbyists and mass market as soon as something goes mass market it will be leveraged to that purpose. Not just in video games in practically everything.

" Exp penalty on death Time it takes to get to lvl 100 The fact that we have to identify items at all Game is too grindy Linking system sucks Chrom system sucks Itemization sucks Picking up items is too hard Randomness sucks Leveling characters sucks / takes too long / too grindy Map sustain sucks I'm talking about actual core elements of what makes PoE PoE. I get we're always going to have topics like X skill is OP or X boss is too hard but I don't ever remember in my history of being on video game forums another game in which there was so much complaining about the core unique identity of the game. Like you didn't see people in League of Legends asking for the entire jungle to be removed or for Starcraft players saying that having 'good APM is too rewarding, can we automate some of this stuff?' Seems absurd but that's what I've been seeing more and more of here lately. Harvest is I guess the newest example, like PoE has always been about randomness idk why people are putting on their surprised pikachu masks when Chris says what he said in the manifesto. I'm honestly surprised they're being as generous as they are with what they're leaving in. https://old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/m3c8km/i_wish_people_would_try_to_keep_themselves/ " Those are just a few examples of things still possible but now people want to act like GGG is betraying them for the simple act of only breaking their longstanding principles by 500% instead of the 50,000% that Ritual-Harvest represented. But if you view the feedback forum regularly which I do you will see that people ask for all kinds of things that would make PoE no longer PoE it's fucking weird and I can't really figure it out. Edit: someone linked a twitch clip from Mathil yesterday where he was responding to someone in his chat accusing him of holding his opinions only because he's an elitist/streamer/power gamer and hes like "wtf are you playing this game for? You knew what you were getting when you signed up. It's hard. It's grindy. It's random. Wanting the game to retain those things has nothing to do with being 'in the 1%' or a streamer." Something like that. Last edited by innervation#4093 on Mar 12, 2021, 2:16:12 PM
