Massive RIP to PoE.

The hardcore player base, like many of the forumers here, probably wouldn't abandon PoE to play D2, or any other games, even if the game is 2nd coming of Backstreet Boys.

Many average causal PoE players will, who have been tolerating all the BAD about PoE that Chris ignored, however.

This forum, & the subreddit are echo chambers dominated by the hardcore PoE gamers & white knights, & think the average ARPG gamers think PoE is the best thing ever out of NZ after LoTR.

Casual player base will not survive in D2. Small inventory, very small stash, total immunities in hell, etc. Casuals inPoE say that 4 stash tabs is not enough, how you imagine they will play with 1 which is half sized? Oh and lets not forget 40 charms in inventory so you basically have no space in it as well.

D2R will be nice to derp around in normal without any serious intentions. But if it costs like 40$ - forget it, I am not buying it.

I guess the only saving grace will be these community mods where people has 1000 stash tabs, can level up to 300lvl, get 20points/level, have some crazy moded skills, etc.

You make mules to hold your gear. I had like a dozen of them back in D2. You can do this in PoE too by the way BUT only in standard. Its not pleasant overall but hey, its not just the stash.
I'll probably play it a bit but ya'll tripping if you think it's going to affect PoE significantly.
We tested it extensively

for those who wants more info on it and to see more of the game, mr llama did an interview with the devs on the blizzconline stuffs...

llama is a total purist addict so he drills them on the details, he wants to know the juice that matters.

This interview is awful. It looks like the questions were set up before, because all are so convenient for devs.
Even more "fanboy" than Ziggy questions for GGG during new league interviews. It is like PoE-whiteknight on steroids.
D2 still has its own problems, sometimes even as stupid as in PoE (e.g. total immunes, small stash, shared loot).
None of this was addressed.

D2R will be a huge thing and real competition for PoE.
It is not GD, Wolcen, which many are marketing as "modern D2". Hell, even PoE does that.
Guess what, here's the original.

I suppose many people (me also) will do play both games, because why not?
"War's over, soldier. You just don't know it yet. Everybody lost."
Blizzard is dead for me, they will never see any cent from me.

If you want to play D2, better then it will be (judging by last few year of blizzard reputation), go install D2 mod in grim dawn and play it there

Mrllama is one of *the* most hardcore, pureist diablo 2 players there is. He absolutely would not hold back on any bullshit concerning a diablo 2 remake or remaster.

I'm not a twitch sub fanboy by any means, but this guy is one of us, if you're an actual D2 player from back in the day. And they absolutely talk about shared stash / small stash, and confirm we're getting MULTIPLE shared stash tabs, as well as a larger stash in general.

There will be both shared stashs & stash tabs in D2.

Maybe this is the problem. Many "hardcore" D2 players simply can't comprehend that in some cases D2 was screwed, and D3 corrected those mistakes
I do not know who he is, and I do not care. I care only what questions were asked. And they were very convenient for devs.

Not from the place where I am standing

I would like to see questions about
* Stupid design in D2 like
** Total elemental immunes
** Shared loot
** PK at will
* Why the stash is still so tiny in this remaster?
* Shared stash is nothing "amazing". it is something obvious as high resolution nowadays
* What about bugs like
** LE Monsters
** Strenght bug
** LCS
** Broken Spear skills
* Why Amazon is so ugly in D2R?

All of them are great examples of "bullshit concerning a diablo 2"

what part of remaster do you not understand?

this isnt D4, this is D2 remaster. this was all addressed when they said yes, we are remastering the game and were not going to fuck with it. i dunno what part of that you fail to understand. theyre not changing a ton of stuff and making it a different game, theyre keeping the game as it was but remastering it, they explained that very thoroughly in the interview so all these [Removed by Support] questions you have were answered.

guess what, if you dont want D2 actually being the way D2 was but remastered, dont buy the D2 remaster. [Removed by Support] if you think d3 was a better game that fixed the problems in d2 then the answer is not to turn d2 into d3, its you go play d3 and the people who prefered d2 will play that.

the reason mr llama got along well with the devs and he had positive questions met with positive answers is because he loves diablo 2, hes the one guy still playing the original diablo 2 on stream all day every day and the devs hes talking to are remastering diablo 2 and its as proper a remaster as remasters get.

convenient for the devs... these people didnt make diablo 2, this isnt blizzard north, these people had nothing to do with making diablo 2, why would mr llama attempt to hardball them over the design of diablo 2? this is a completely different team of people who have been given the task of remastering the game staying as true to the original as possible.

you dont know who mr llama is...

k, says it all rly.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
