" You can get past 90 by running yellow maps. You're pushing your character beyond its capacity and die from it. |

Map Mod:
"Monster deal no damage to you" "Monster has 1% chance to instant kill you on hit" player: "Monster has x% less chance to instant kill you on hit" the only 2 mods the game really needs. |

I noticed some damage disturbance from corpse explosions as well.
Not sure if it is because i map more than before but if something eats through 10k life, 50% flat physical damage reduction and 88% chaos resist with Divine Flesh, 78% max res all plus Fortify and 30% less ele damage taken then something maybe fishy in GGGs damage calculation. At T16 the game is all about you removing corpses when you kill stuff and kiting in circle patters without ever backtracking(because ground effect eventually will get you if you do). So never run directly back for that exalt drop. Always loop around to grab it :P
Also rolling maps hard is a choise you make yourself. I do this too. I often try to make the worst possible maps for my build. Not because it makes me progress but because it is more fun. You could always reroll until you get mods that don't oneshot your character. Last edited by arknath#4740 on Feb 4, 2021, 6:57:34 AM

The game feels balanced around people either playing 90% max res purity stacks or having headhunter buffs right now.
It's kinda stupid. |

" Yeap that is the point. They like streamers and rips so obviously they will balance around that. Nobody want to see a " pro gamer " playing safe without ripping sometimes |

Totems. Get one of those corpse exploding totems in a Ritual and you'll die. Pretty simple.

The original post does not give nearly enough information to know if that is enough to survive even a mild hit; which I recognize is part of the post because the OP doesn't know what did it. But it's an important point since the OP gives their total life/ES pool as if that is enough to mitigate one-shots (it's not).
If it was a large chaos hit and you have negative chaos resist, the ES does not matter at all (unless you have a chaos does not bypass energy shield mod). The chaos rituals (dread and malevolence) hit pretty hard at 0% chaos resistance. If you have 0% physical damage reduction, or close to it, that life/es pool is not nearly enough either. This is where some sort of combat log is needed, so you can improve, since you can't always see what happened. And even when you do, it's not always clear what the damage was. Thanks for all the fish!
