Last Epoch is better than POE.

This is curious.
There are usually some people who hate and love POE at the same time.
It may be due to the fact that there is no better ARPG than POE right now.
I have been playing ARPG since 1997 and I can say that this is the best of them without a doubt, and it will be that way until someone else offers more than POE.

That is almost impossible, and you know it.

You people should try grim dawn's diablo 2 remaster mod (reign of terror). It is infinitely less frustrating than poe, has decent endgame content, gameplay is meaningful, very few one shot bullshits. Mod is barely in 'beta' and has a ton of content and immense build diversity.

Actually, I just heard ofthis game from a poe mate.. and looking at trial, first thing I see is literally POE stuff.. EK , background, hat, anims..

so I understood it as poe wrote its own engine.. if this is the case,

have they sublicensed out their engine to this studio?

I mean, else, I can't imagine it being nothing but an outright copytheft. and no one in 2020s will do that I am fairly sure.. all yoru work / al your money would go quickly out the window then in an outright steal like that lol...

could someone englighten me on the potential things here I am missing, unaware of?

LE uses the Unity engine

I just am surprised at some of the sprites, effects etc. looking at the trailer vid, 24 secs in seeing EK there right, straight out of POE.. 100%, several textures and ok I get it, it borrows from POE as all games borrow from predecessors etc, but there are waaay more examples , all in the trail vid where there are outright copies. I just am surprised it's so.. that's all.

PS. Ye I just bought the LE to give it a go, as it wasn't very expensive and a old timer POE guru said it's quite nice and fresh, so why not.

I asked because of a genuine wtf, as in areas I work in with coding, such outright identical work would be quickly reacted to. Quite literally.

Wasn't there something with the zombies emblem on a passive that was lifted directly a while back? I could have that all backwards.

With almost ten years of content, where they have pushed out four leagues a year for the last five of those ten years, it's very hard to believe that an ARPG could ever offer more, at least in the foreseeable future. But quantity isn't everything, and we all know PoE is lacking in several areas when it comes to quality.

PoE doesn't consist of one type of players. There are players here that will jump ship the moment a game offers good multiplayer and MMO elements. There are players that will jump ship the moment a game in the genre offers new and fancy graphics. There are players here that will jump ship the moment Blizzard speaks.

But if there's one thing quantity gives you, it's reasons to come back. There's always a new take on something. There's always new things to do. There's always a new META.

Will Last Epoch steal some players? Sure. Will D2R steal some players? Most likely. Will D4 steal players? Definitely. The questions are; can those game hold on to those players - and for how long?

Im uninstalling poe as we speak.

You guys whining about 3 year early access do know poe went into alpha in 2010 and was released as a bug riddled mess in 2013 right?
And its still a bug riddled mess now, try hitting alt on a juiced map.
