Last Epoch is better than POE.

What's up with all these no gametime people making threads Someone in OT told me Torchlight is #1 now Last Epoch. Some kinda desperate marketing campaign is my guess. If a user with a few years behind their PoE account made a thread like this I'd check it out maybe but this is like trolling. No, Literally trolling. I am less likely to check these out now.

I've honestly only looked at Last Epoch long enough to know that I'd be paying at least $35 to play a knock-off of PoE. They're not even hiding it. I might give it a go, but I'd have to see their eventual business model before they get a dime out of me. If they started charging for each new act, or any new "mode" or whatever, I'm not interested. They haven't commented on their future plans.

I'll wait until they commit to something. The "early access" has gone on way to long to trust though. They're going to run out of funding at some point.

Last Epoch is there because a bunch of people wanted to make it and they're taking their time.


GGG has been there.


There's a correlation between speedy delivery and bugs. GGG just had to take a step back to cope with the second. We've had leagues that were unplayable, full of exploits, over and undertuned stuff, crashes that lost us loot and maps, well I could go on for a while.


It's all a ton of complexity and I hope those LE peeps make it through and that we eventually can enjoy their good game.


GGG had Diablo 3 to battle. PoE partially lives as it does because Blizzard messed up the Diablo franchise. PoE started as a Diablo clone. Now LE gets to battle PoE, a much harder challenge.


I really wish them the best and no, LE is currently not enough of a thing to compete. And yes three years in early access is absurd.

EHG are doing it right. Check your targeting next time you want to shoot off your mouth naysaying a studio that is essentially GGG 2.0 in a lot of ways.

If LE is not for you, fine. It's not really for me either. But calling it a PoE knock off in 2021 is exactly the same as calling PoE a Diablo knock off in 2012. We didn't like those people then and I see no reason to be any less harsh on them now. Strange to see someone so purportedly erudite naysaying evolution. Otoh they do say we grow more conservative as we age...

As for this thread, it's either coy anti-LE trolling or poorly thought out praise. It does EHG and LE no favours to go into another game's main forum and talk them and their game up in a fairly clearly antagonistic way. People who went to D3 boards and talked up PoE by demeaning D3 were no better, and we certainly never tolerated d3 zealots here either. At the very least, it should have been consigned to Off Topic where it belongs before the local chevaliers dupont could reveal their illogical, borderline hypocritical stances with no measure of irony.

There is better game coming but it aint last epoch :DDD
It is the one that is asia only at the moment that has photorealistic graphics and action combat.

Lost Ark? That game is P2W at endgame and tedious. iLVL determining power is also lame

iLvl determining power is lame? Have you never played POE. let me introduce to you the multiple items that require ilevel 86 to be good.

Well, Last Epoch is in many ways a really nice one title, but don´t forget that it is also a game still in Early Access, and it is still lots of work that remains to be done before it is a truly finished title. And up till now they have done surprisingly lot work on it. But a game isn´t finished until it is actually finished. I don´t think they will finish it this year. Maybe next.
