[3.13] Dejuvenate's Flameslinger Elementalist. Best League starter and unethical clear speed

The Elementalist version kinda looks insane, this is cool man. Thanks for putting this together.

Do you think that this is a good build to league start and build on if you're looking to do the endgame for the first time? Not looking to do it blisteringly fast, just comfortably and on a reasonable budget.

The advantages of that sort of setup are you're not using your whole mana pool to reserve flame wall, instead, mana could be used to reserve auras, the damage is not an issue for this build, but survivability definitely is.

I've attempted replicating that using wand/shield combo, unfortunately, the issue is that secondary burn duration on flame wall is around 2 seconds, if you use GMP/Frostbolt/Ball lightning, the trigger rate is 4 seconds on the craft which leads us to potentially missing casts due to it triggering on dash, flame dash, shield charge, leaving you unable to apply the debuff.

So potentially late game, crafting a Warlord influenced staff can lead to some sick results, fire exposure on hit, up to 130-160 Burn/spell/fire damage.

For your current setup
something like this is nearly mandatory.

For defense bastion of element would be nearly identical to bone barrier sitting at easily 2k shield, on top of that, we have 2 more possible choices, Glancing blows and stacking block + %hp recovery shield OR path all the way to shadow area and grab No witness for phasing + acrobatics.

So layer-wise we would have:

Max res
5-6k life
2k shield
3-5% life recovery on max block
around 600-800 regen if you're running stone golem/ vitality

OR

5-6k life
2k shield
45+ dodge/ elusive effect, forcing your minions to tank, if we stacked some defensive gems on the golems and the fact they respawn every 4 seconds, this could lead to a decent meat shield.

Hi Etko,

Yes, Refillable Duck was the one that show the potential of flamewall delivery. I tried using the trigger socketed gems just like you said, the thing is, you can notice on Duck's video, some BL and other casts are wasted due to wrong positioning/facing.

The ring is a very nice addition, will free up links so we can readjust the build.

If you wanna deal better damage, perhaps if arena/maven turns out to be profitable over mapping, you can manual cast the flamewall and just drop spellslinger altogether.

I aim to make this build a league starter. I am sure someone would come up with better way to min max the damage to make it a total monster.

For example getting the helm with -15% reserve, warlord slam it and put -9% fire resist on it, etc.

Funny thing. Flamewall is tagged as spell, but unnerve doesn't seem to affect its DPS.

EDIT:

my POB that I put together stack golems, and @extracat POB only uses 4 golems.
We'll have to wait and see I Guess.

The aegis is nice, around 2k shield with 20 notables. I wanna know if cluster jewel notables also count. If they do, it can potentially be broken.

Also The delay is kinda long (5 second), and not reducible by anything. So I am not sure, we'll wait and see about Primal Aegis.

I have played cold slinger. The problem I had with it is, there's a slight delay between vortexes showing up, so there are "holes" between it

at 90 seconds u can see the gaps

not to diss on cold slinger, it is really good and probably is a better all rounder build than this due to occultist being thicc and cold being safer.

I just somehow like this zoom-zoom play and would like to share how stupid the clear using this build is, especially considering how cheap it is.

I am not a good builder, so if you can look thru it and see how we can improve, that'd be awesome.

TBH this build will struggle on bosses. Especially this league and new atlas seem to focus more on bossing than usual.

I would consider a more balanced build such as vortex occultist, bladefall/bladeblast, perhaps even miner/trapper. They have better single target even though they are slower than this build.

This build is more geared towards fast mapping and speed clearing and not balanced for newer player. Sorry man =x

Man, Thank you for sharing this. Its a thing of beauty. I just re-rolled a standard elementalist, I have a level 11 FW, and level 10 supports and its just blowing through low tier maps. I went MOM and Heavy Life regen, with only the golem ascendency, no skill tree golem stuff yet and I'm sustaining RF with 3 stone golems. Self cast FW was isn't horrible for more deeps.
I'm playing around with incinerate inside the six link with FW Slinger to piggyback the support gems for single target. So many great options, guess ill see what comes from it, but definite league starter for sure, should rush maps easy.

Oh one more thing, Eye Of Malice helmet with its 1.5 multiplier to enemy resist, will be a big damage increase with our exposure, and curses. I think the fire leg of the ascendency will be better so you have permanent uptime on combustion exposer without having to hit with fire and break EE. Just a thought!
Have you considered running elemental hit with a combat focus instead of KB? With shaper of flames this would allow you to still ignite and use combustion and also safely proc elemental equilibrium without having to use malachai's artifice if you grabbed it on tree, could feel more streamlined for clear than casting a brand for ee.

Hi mate, thanks for trying this out.

If you self cast, you can put just use trigger wand and put storm brand - WoC - combustion

The WoC will take care of combustion. Storm brand will keep hitting and will overwrite the fire component of WoC.

If you dont have curse on hit ring, you can also use WoC - hextouch - flammability - combustion

or put curse on hit on storm brand

many ways to play this build imho, but one thing for sure, shaper of flames is probably the worst notable for this build. So many other options are better.

Shaper of storms gives you at least 15% more dmg.
mastermind of discord gives you -25% resist to the enemy (at 40% base resist, you bring it down to -10% instead of 15% resist, excluding combustion)

golem notables are very good and provide ailments immune and good dmg/survivability.
bastion gives 2k shield every 5 second

EDIT: incinerate screws up your EE, are you sure thats the right skill?

This is an awesome idea. Just need to block fire and we're done so just need 1 jewel socket.

Only problem, KB and frenzy have their own niche use. But this is a very awesome idea that I have never thought about. Thanks man for bringing this up. I will credit you for this.

EDIT: Tried this out, seems like a very good idea.

with WoC - combust on trigger wand

Will need a curse on hit ring, but seems like it'd be way better and smoother play until high density maps.

Yes, if it is increase in ailments effect, like unbound ailments, it is multiply to shock effect.

The thing which multiply depends on damage is like Voltaxic Rift.
i.e. Shock Enemies as though dealing X% more Damage

just found that vaal arc has 100% shock effect

vaal arc + unbound ailments + 30% from tree + 25% more due to lightning damage has 50% more damage taken capped.
This seems interesting gonna test it out in standart
