The most stable PoE build of all time to invest on?

Just to chip in some ideas, if you're looking for a more "long term" build to invest in, I suggest not to invest on a build with specific skill gem but invest more on archetype kinds of build like miner/traps, summoner, Spectres, totems, archmage, spellslinger. These builds don't rely on specific gems (primary spells/attacks) too much, so if the gems that they attached to change, you can easily change them to other spells, attacks or summons. For example, miner builds, before people use ball lightning miner before nerf, now you can easily just switch to glacial cascade miner, without fundamentally changing your build. Same goes with Raised spectres, if GGG decided that spectres were getting OP or popular, they usually changed the actual minion spectres instead of the actual gem, like in the case of the Redemption sentries.

If you invest in the build that defines by specific gems, like cyclone, reave, tornado shot, etc. If that gem is changed/nerf, you may end up with a broken or bad build, that you have to invest more or fundamentally changed it just to salvage it.

It's supposed to make you WANT to waste your time."
Just to add a vote for Cyclone and Minions. ^_^ That's it.
Slow down for a minute to enjoy the beauty around us.

Except you would need to completly change your gear. Glacial Cascade is physcial skill. The power it gets is from "gain x% of pshycial dmg as fire/cold/lightning/chaos". Without those items (which ball lighting dont use) glacial cascade will be avarage at best.
