General Discussion - Not impressed with the beta - Forum

Bottom Line if you liked Diablo 2 because of the economy, character building/planning, and the sickness of hardcore permadeath pvp. You will buy path of exile and not even consider diablo 3. Gamers want nostalgia, that is what sells. Why do you think sequels to great games often end up bad; they always add too much to overwhelm the game, and it ends up a cluttered mess. Simplicity is always a good thing when it comes to this genre, players wants to play a game with advanced combat techniques and enhanced AI, with in depth skill system - it makes the game extremely boring. Just because it looks different, doesn't mean it will be horrible. I liked D2 as much as the next guy, and disliked WoW, but will definitely enjoy D3.
