What do you think about the new core packages?

I have seen better. In fact I may buy a $60 heist pack and didn't even play heist it looks so good...all I do is work whine...

I'm a fan of realistic or not too flashy armor sets.

So Delve or Abyss pack would come into the pool of sets that i would consider worth buying.
But i will wait and see how the next league sets look like for a final decision.

Except the breach set, nothing fits my personal taste. I like the shape of the Harvest armour, but not its colour.

It would be great if you could customize the accent colors on the armor to your personal taste.

For example the turquoise on the Harvest armor in red, or something like that. Personally, I don't like turquoise.

Hope that the theme of it isn't "It's really a whole lot cheaper to re-use old ideas" and is more "We're investing a lot of time bringing the old ideas up to date." Can't tell at this point which way they're going.

Overall not impressive. Because of overwhelming dark themes you can barely see any details of the armour with default zoom

I realy hope for the latter, and I think that is what they are doing. Like a tribute to the old leagues.

I don't think that their design team have lacked any innovative thinking before, but I agree that they have been very happy about small neon LED lights on several of their armour pieces.

They're a hell of a lot better than the last ones

Nothing really wowed me, I'm really looking for a black/green set that looks good and was hopeful for the abyss but it seems mostly black with only a touch of green.

The Harvest one kinda made me sad, the portal is way better than the 36 challenge one that was awarded. Was really not anticipating that a reward would be outdone less than half a year after for a MTX. Kinda thought those rewards were never available for purchase, to have a MTX > reward defeats that whole concept.

Guess I'm glad I got some of the last ones before they left. That might be it from me for a minute till something comes out that I really want.

I really think GGG missed the mark with these. The packs don't lend themselves well to the usual "upgrade to the next tier" structure. Some folks like one or the other of the packs, but the price point escalation will discourage many who might otherwise have bought some of the sets individually.

Worse still (for me, at least), my usual habit is to buy and then upgrade core packs throughout the year as needed for points to purchase other MTXs. While they appear to be nicely rendered, I see nothing in any of these packs which appeals to me. That doesn't leave me a lot of options other than pure points packs or repeat buys of the other packs which I liked well enough to buy once already (and isn't it funny that there are already Harvest [League] Supporter Packs?)
