" I see stuff like this and I am not entirely unsympathetic. However, the developers have stated a multitude of times that the intent is to have web-based trading facilitated. There was also mention of 'public' stash tabs for people to browse wares. I know those things do not exist NOW, but it is quite inaccurate to say that the state of trading currently is the GGG vision. |

" I think it's better to have it that way because of the fact that it makes it harder to trade. When it's easy to trade (AH), the difficulty will have to be increased to match it which forces people to use the auction house. The game is balanced in a way that you don't have to have perfect items in order to succeed and I like it that way. |

JW is ranting about R M A H not the normal AH. There are a good many games that function quite well with a healthy economy with a Auction House. The only couple things ruining D3 is there stupid ass Real Money Auction House and there piss poor itemization.
For the most part I only play self find cause I have a 7 week old child so basically very casual now. So the Auction House thing for me is either or doesn't really matter. But comparing people wanting an AH on this game to D3 failures is just plain dumb. D3 failed because of real money not there normal auction house. |

" spending 1 hour trying to get rid of all your uniques.. etc is not a good way to play. It's not fun. SEtting up a shop and having ppl lowball you is not fun. Trying to sell a rare 80+ andvarious and having ppl spam 3 chaos at you is not fun. Waiting for the right person to sell to is not fun. I HATE spamming WTS andvarius WTS 15% freezing pulse WTS maligaro and having people lowball you. waiting 30 mins or wait over 3 days to get a person who actually doesnt lowball 1 alc at you. the less people play, the harder it is to sell. " I agree but I see the GAH as a de-facto AH. I pay GGG $20 per month to support them in my small way. I have paid more to them than to that other game's devs... I like to think that, in my small way, I am helping reward the GGG devs for their extreme commitment to ARPGs. |
