Only 3% killed shaper on steam?

Many people play SSF exclusively and see goals like "killing Shaper" to be out of their reach... and are perfectly okay with that. Don't impose your goals on everyone else. There's lots of things in the game I totally ignore because I know that they were added to challenge people who have risen to levels of power far higher than I'll ever reach. That's great. I'm all for it. Just don't you go calling that out as a failure on my part. It's not.

I know I would lose interest in this game within days if I traded for stuff. Instead, I've been playing it for years. My way. Not your way.

It isn't an elitist attitude its a difference of opinion, anything that interests X will probably not interest Y. There are plenty of casual games available atm not every game needs to be accessible to everyone.

this is like the arguments that dark souls needs an easy mode, no it doesn't they aren't gatekeeping nor are being elitist its simply a choice to set the bar where regular players will struggle as part of the experience.

That doesn't excuse the developer from making accessibility changes to parts of the game but how many people kill shaper really isn't involved with that.

Haven't killed shaped since they changed the mapping system to Conqueror. Got almost full Atlas - unique maps included. Haven't seen a Shaper Fragment map yet. Same goes for Elder.

I also think its important to note that this is an inflection point in the game where many players diverge.

For some players grinding bosses in search of loot to min/max or make trade profits is the goal. (Less so in SSF)

For others it just may be they want to do challenges for the MTX.

And yet others just like doing the new league content for 1 or 2 builds at most and then wait for the next league.

I rarely do more than 1-2 builds per league(league starter then one main skill I want to try) depending on how much I like the league content, and amassing wealth means nothing to me. I dont play standard and usually delete my character at the next league start.

I've been doing this for 7+ years. I think I've killed UE 4 or 5 times total, Uber Atziri once, and A8 maybe 5 or 6 times. Never even seen Aul in all my time in PoE lol.

Heck look at dark souls achievements, 3-5% give up after every boss lol

Yea no. Game is stale. All they do is rearrange the maps, throw in a league and say here you go. If the league fails why bother doing maps because it's no different than last time except rearranged.


Luckily Shadowlands in 3 weeks will make me miss lots and lots of leagues.

Same for me, but i am actually undecided so much atm, Shadowlands or Destiny 2, i haven't bought the expansions yet because i can only play one of them, so its either Shadowlands wow or Destiny.... the thing is in wow my guild is kinda busted so maybe i go destiny 2.
Anyway haven't touched POE in a while, this league i could only muster so much crashes and bloat until i stopped playing.
Also, soon Diablo 2 remastered and also D2 Faan HD remake will launch , so there is that

Everything should not be attainable for everybody. Period.

I wonder what the numbers were before the atlas confuckery? Granted, people still do guardians and shapers now, but a) it's optional and b) getting a full set of guardian frags is gated behind Zana RNG and it always seems one of the guardians is rarer than the others.

It does not surprise me much that after 3.9 shaper has dropped off the radar.
