Only 3% killed shaper on steam?
" Never the right one. Don't waste your time planning on getting one for your character. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Nov 4, 2020, 10:59:52 AM

the "end game" grind has always been a bit much for me in this game. I usually get a character to 90+, farm up enough currency to upgrade myself to near-immortal status, and then get bored.
I went 4 leagues without even attempting Shaper. The first time I killed him (just to say I did) I was underleveled and doing sub 1m DPS. I used all but my last portal and it was exhilarating. Since then I haven't really cared too much. |

3% is honestly a lot higher than I would have thought.

Most bosses in PoE are deathly dull, I mean nearly all involve running around in circles. Getting to some of them is a real grind and tedious, looking at you Sirus or are just based on luck, Aul. I don't want to fight most of PoE's bosses and I'm actually glad I don't have to. Maybe the 97% who haven't fought Shaper agree with my sentiments.

" The steam achievement tracker also counts standard league so if you accomplish it during ANY league or even on a legacy pimped out standard character you'll still get a brownie point [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

" Yea, and honestly 3% is still a lot higher than I would have thought. |

Once I get a character to maps, I stop playing and start a new character. Maps are not fun. There's no quests that I care about. And while I'm no stranger to ARPGs and min-maxing my characters, the power scaling that you need to do to make your build shaper viable versus questing is way too steep. I think in about five years I've only killed Baran and one other.. map boss total. Meh. Really really boring. If I had to pay to play this game, I'd have given up on it long ago because there is really no end game content to hold my interest. It's not worth the time and currency for me to concentrate on mapping when all I want to do is try out my ideas for builds. Sure, I could copy some pro-build and waste my time trying to craft a 1% better piece of armor, but I don't want to play someone elses build or waste my time on power creep -- that would be boring AF. So like most players, once I get to ~75, I just stop and start all over with some new idea.

" You could transfer it to standard and then sell it but if you never play standard it is more valuable in SSF so you can link to here on the forum. :-) Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

" ![]() I once killed a video of someone facing The Shaper. Close enough. Those Caesarians sure as fuck don't know when to cut the chatter.
Spoiler
Eh? Ehhh? Cut? CUT?
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Nov 4, 2020, 8:03:20 PM

" I've always consider PoE kinda like the Souls series where the bosses are the highlight (in poe its only the end-game bosses which are interesting). Heck even Sirus with all the waiting phases is enjoyable enough, Shaper, Elder and U.Elder the other hand are some of the best fights you'll have in this game at least imo (esp. while your learning the fight). I do however agree that reaching some of these bosses like Aul, Sirus and in this league The Twins is a bit much. |
