Unless they'll accustom themselves to unreasonable expenses, this will always be the case - even the biggest and bestest with public testing realms has content almost every patch leaking into the live servers which is buggy.

The amount of bugs is completely normal for a league.
It's within the greatest of odds that if you go see your fellow friends at the Rogue Harbour and run 20 contracts - you won't be losing a single one of them!
If you do get a bug - you just run out - problem solved!
Most of the time the AI will bug out when entering, so you could be in a new heist within less than half a minute!

I ran something 300 heists before 3.12.3 patch and at best lost a contract once every 300 contracts.
I quit already 2 weeks ago because my goal of 3 mirrors was reached but you guys missed a great league because you were too busy moaning about losing an Alchemy orb COMPLETELY UNJUSTIFIED!

Hey I do agree with you, it is the same syndrome those D3 players had when they played poe back in time of non allocated loot.

Seeing an alch getting sniped made them ragequit and those HEist death with all the loot being lost/ disconnect made reddit D3 players loose it.

I think GGG is usually pretty bad at bug testing and this league with new gem changes should have been part of POE2, tested by Guinea pigs players being scammed and paying for a close beta like in 2.0
We all know GGG is at it s best when players are paying for bug testing.

I'm simply trying to find the signifier on which basis the claim is made that "assessing the impacts of bugs is getting dubious".

Well I'm also done with this league since I hit my 37/40 goal.

I'll say Heist was OK, I did get bored while farming for rogue levels but beside that it was enjoyable enough. I also started playing on day-1 heist and I must have been one of the lucky ones since I only crashed I think 3 times out of so many contracts.

So... I didnt see all the crashes and bugs first-hand, but if all the videos and screen-shots are true this would have to be the most broken league in a very long time thus I get the hate especially considering how smooth harvest launched.

EDIT: WB Kiss_Me_Quick, your PS MF build is still one of my favorites build since it helped me think out the box slightly when approaching MF.

I don't think it is exaggerated if you're talking about the first two weeks of the league. People's first experiences will often taint their perceptions on that topic forever; they continue to cry about the league when it has mostly been fixed.

Ultimately I believe the massive blowback was earned by GGG. GGG though a great company when compared to many others did not provide a good experience at launch or even two weeks after.

That being said, I'm really enjoying Heist myself.

your 1 in 300 isn't the same as my 1 in 3.

its been fixed now but the launch is over and I didn't get to participate in the league mechanic on launch.

They very definitely are true! The problem is that it creates a perception as it's a commonly recurring theme for everyone who is heisting - which is simply not true - the contracts are bugged rarely.
