The Heist hysteria is based purely and merely on exaggerated false perception

Yes, there are some bugs, sometimes.
Yes, there are hundreds of videos of bugs because there are hundreds of thousands of players.
Yes, there are tens of variations of these bugs - most which you have not and will not experience.
Yes, you can lose your heist to these bugs.
Yes, sometimes you have to reset the AI.

BUT

The amount of bugs is completely normal for a league.
It's within the greatest of odds that if you go see your fellow friends at the Rogue Harbour and run 20 contracts - you won't be losing a single one of them!
If you do get a bug - you just run out - problem solved!
Most of the time the AI will bug out when entering, so you could be in a new heist within less than half a minute!

I ran something 300 heists before 3.12.3 patch and at best lost a contract once every 300 contracts.
I quit already 2 weeks ago because my goal of 3 mirrors was reached but you guys missed a great league because you were too busy moaning about losing an Alchemy orb COMPLETELY UNJUSTIFIED!

There's plenty of data suggesting that there's a wide spectrum of different experiences with Heist. I'm not having trouble with it either.

I find it a bit boring, but that might just be the character I'm playing. I wish they could be a bit more different... rather than just different animations for the same basic thing. But I don't hate it for that.

We're just in a phase of the game where haters are being extra vocal about it, and are being supported by the community. I think GGG is adult enough to realize that.

What data? Would love to see it!

Didn't they add some anti-GGG-hate measurements?

You'd have to compile it. Get a pen and paper and start taking notes.
no it's not.

bugs are out there and still happening after fix after fix.

Well isn't this just a convenient way to use the word "data" just to make a non-statement.

Happens every league. Typical reddit cancer is one of the largest motors behind this, of which GGG still continues to post there and support.

That subreddit and the publicity it creates has never done this game any good. If anything, it's made the perception of this amazing game degrade over time.

lol who cares
3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe.
I think a large part of it was that this league came right after Harvest was a disaster for a lot of players and ended up being more bugs with game design that didn't land for players instead of being an apologetic league like Legion was, and GGG hyped this league up to be a big league with a bigger budget so the disappointment ended up being bigger.

Harvest was clearly made as an experiment and as a cheap and easy league to make while they were focusing on Heist (pretty sure they even tried to hype up 3.12 before 3.11 even came out), but because Harvest was so unpopular it just ended being the case that Heist's release was poorly timed because it wasn't a very good palate cleanser on top of the issues the game had.
