Map drop nerfed? Need a reasonable explanation
Delves can drop tons of maps, alva drops tons of maps, heist drop tons of maps, labyrinthe drop tons of maps, syndicate drop tons of maps, maps doesn't drop tons of maps (list is much longer than that). This is usualy where players wonder if drop rates were nerfed to the ground and often the answer is NO.
You can also profit of the horizon and harbinger orb drop festival to make your way trough atlas, and eventually trade (I didn't needed to trade a single map so far so you probably shouldn't need it, except if GGG decided to buff my account of course). Definetly an issue with map drops almost as if the heist blueprints and contracts are stealing their spot in the loot table. Just did 3x t14-t15 maps with 4 awakened sextants, >80%quant on maps, 1 cart. scarab and 2 sac frags one of the sextants was bodygurds drop two additional maps upon completeion. I got 1 map drop total. Awakening level 8 with 115/58 bonuses too. That is just insanely unlucky i guess but have been struggling to maintain a map pool for the first time in past 4 leagues.

" of course you have no issues. of course the system is fine. of course the players having this issue are "shit" at the game. keep swimming on your own sea I guess. thanks for the bump though. I have been recording my map boss kills, I either get a map, or I get a contract, I do not get both, the only time I got both as a drop was a twin boss modified map.
This says to me that currently it's on a shared drop and one is blocking the other. |

Lucky? For multiple years? Ok, bud.
Opinion? It's a fact and you obviously barely understand the game. Drops are fine - always have been, hopefully always will be. As I said - go chain some GRs, seems to be right up your alley. |

People? Get a grip!
To debate map drops, we have to decide on a few things first: Are we discussing map progression, or are we discussing map sustain on a filled-out atlas? Are we discussing from a "I buy most of my maps up to T16, and therefore have no problem sustaining" perspective, or are we debating from a "I usually farm my own maps, and are having some trouble progressing" perspective. Are we playing in a party, sharing maps? Are we playing in a guild sharing maps? The bottom line: With a filled atlas and a currency tab full of tools, most people can sustain maps. But the journey up to that point can be a REAL struggle, depending on the league. The progression can be everything but "smooth". I've had examples in the past, running 34 alched maps without upgrades, and countless runs of map X without dropping the adjecent maps. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" The core of this thread was (last I checked) that even at higher amounts of atlas completion you're not able to sustain higher tier maps no matter what you do. Like sure, you can have 1-3 maps in a row without a single red map back I can deal with that. But 10-20 maps? and the red maps you get are downgrades? that's the really annoying part here the endgame progression comes to a halt once you start getting downgrades despite trading or buying from zana. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

I just feel sorry for myself and that other dude for wasting our time with this guy. Keep circlejerking while we swim in 16s.
Oh, did I mention greater rifts? Look into that - you might understand how it works. It is also on sale :) |

" I agree, it's a freakin' pain in the ass. And as we have threads like this every league, people are having those experiences every league. Hell, I'm sure that even in Harbinger League, there was one or two map drop threads. I think it mostly comes down to really bad streaks, instead of huge variations in drop rates from league to league. There's ALWAYS a person - in every league - having a more difficult time progressing than the last league. I struggle every single league, because I refuse to buy a single map - and I find the idea of having to buy actual content to play appalling. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
