Map drop nerfed? Need a reasonable explanation

Yeah, there are several things you can do to make your atlas progression easier. My biggest problem with atlas progression, is myself - and my stubbornness. I don't trade for maps or map commodities. I refuse to, because I think it's an idiotic idea to begin with. I have never in my life seen other games that 'encourage' you to trade for actual playable content to make progression smooth.

That's why I rarely complain about map drops, because the game does have trade, and all maps are available - almost free of charge. It's stupid to whine about self-infused problems. When I'm having problems, it's because I refuse to take advantage of the in-game tools.

Map drop rate definitely seems off. Granted this is only my second season playing, but I had no issues whatsoever in harvest getting to like 140~, I'm stuck now with no red maps in sight.

Map drops are taking the piss, pretty sure there on the same drop as contracts wich seems to drop even more forcing you to do that shite that does not give xp.


T16 - chisel, alc, chaos 85+, vaal, 4 x sextant, 4 x scarabm, fortune favours the brave AND NOT A SINGLE MAP RETURN

The investments are out of the roof can sustain.


REALLY REALLY not sure why the fun has to be sucked out, I already paid for my pack you won't get more out of me by time gating my leveling.

Serious getting fed up a bit with a lot of things GGG and not only Heist

With so many posts and a bunch of threads with the same problem it's kinda of a joke that there's still people not questioning the system and just blames the player.

I'm not sure if they will ever fix this but having a standard league and the endgame that's always there is being fucked due to bugs or oversight and not getting attention because reddit didnt make a thread about it is really annoying.

Even at 140+ bonus you still struggle it's ridiculous.

Edit: Late edit but idc not worth another second post but it would be better if heist had their map chests increased rather than the meme talisman junk you want to force us devs.

Seems fine to me, same as previous leagues anyway with a small decrease due to Heist content being left fallow right now (whereas in Harvest we'd be regularly clearing crops even though they didn't add anything directly to maps)

Certainly not the worst i've personally experienced by a long stretch

Progressing through Reds on main, same old same old here.

No, just alching them is not enough. Yes, the highest tiers of maps require you to use at least a quarter of the tools available to you.

Plenty of people have already mentioned that quite often you end up with 0 maps doing fully juiced t16s (scarabs, zana mods, deli, etc).

I've never had problems self sustaining t14+ maps even with alch and go method once i was above 100-120 map completions.
Map dorp is obviously fucked this league.

I normally sustain fine, now I juice up and spend a fuckton and zero map return to the point where I go meh cba with this

Sustain Heist fine, i mean zero maps but 5 contracts, guess we all can see what contant we are forced to do... IF only it did not take 3 weeks to fix Heist and give some xp

No maps. No progress. Stuck again. Can't influence the regions i need. I doubt i will make it to awakened 8. Yeah, this will be the 1st league I stay at A5 because of the focking map drop has gone bye-bye.
