I absolutely detest the artstyle of the game.
So, no. Not going to bother. Besides that, Dark Souls on August which completely destroys the rest of my free time for any other game on the market. My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series.

I've tried this game yesterday for a while and I can say that so far i found 3 features that are better than PoE in my opinion: charges mechanics (intuitive, usable from beginning), offline play and separated loot in multiplayer. For everything else PoE is SUPERIOR in my opinion.

" Well... i lov Poe, but tl2 have so much better action system, and secondary atractive misions, inteligent bosses, so much more models of items and monsters, more interesting features and better randomize, but poe have a awesome way to develope your player, private servers and is still unfinished, they even dont have any defensive skills, but is promising, i have so many hope in this proyect, but dont compare a finished game whith a unfinished one :/. I love TL2. That said I ALSO love PoE. Why play just one? Both have their strengths and those strengths are considerable.
While art style really doesn't matter to me as long as gameplay is solid, I have no problems switching from one to the other. Could be because I have been gaming since the Amiga days. While for its time it WAS a graphics powerhouse, some of the best games on it were not bleeding edge (for the time) graphics. Don't be fooled by TL2's graphic style: while the game looks bright and cheery, it is vicious especially on Veteran and Elite difficulties. Path of Exile's aestheic is amazing. I love the nihilistic feel of it. I think that GGG hit upon a great idea by eschewing gold for a commerce system that makes sense in a land where prisoners are thrown overboard and left to die. We ARPG players are lucky to have devs like GGG and Runic that make games for gamers! |
