Aren't you guys tired of the same old PoE?

" What this kind sir said + Life is kinda pointless, there's no literal meaning If someone wants to play games - let him be, as long as it makes him happy AT LEAST FOR SOME AMOUNT OF TIME If someone wants to get rich af - let him be If someone wants to sit in a corner watching everyone rush fuck knows where - let him be Everything is subjective, nobody can tell you how to live your life There's nothing "right" and nothing "wrong"...well..except in some cases where you need to stay human |

I saw it, and figured it was either someone using the name as a nickname OR one of those 'hey look how clever I am' twists. It seemed somewhat beside the point at any rate. ^_^
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I would also love to see PoE put some effort into co-op play. They should take a leaf out of Left 4 Dead's book. For a start, they could show a summary at the end of a group map run, ranking how much damage dealt by each player, how much unmitigated and mitigated damage taken by each player, or how many hits they successfully dodged/blocked.

No ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
On topic: "How often will I complete a Heist or Grand Heist? You'll have access to one Contract per area on average but the amount you get is affected by standard drop multipliers. You can get many per area in well-rolled maps. You'll access a Blueprint for a Grand Heist approximately once per act or around every 12 maps. It's a similar level of content access to Incursions and The Temple of Atzoatl, except you can wait and run them when you feel like it without losing progress." " Fuck. So the league mechanic (wipe and restart) is enough to bring a lot of people back for some time. Past that it depends on what you are looking for. Trying a new build? Ok that's enough to stay hooked for a couple weeks. If that's all you're doing each league is going to be about 2 weeks.
There really isn't a community to stick around for and I think that's why engagement falls off after a month. It's the same problem modern WoW has. Too much focus on scripted content and not enough on P2P content which is content that exists to encourage and facilitate P2P engagement. I think the game has this hook for players who don't necessarily play for the challenges but for the league reset and the MTX cosmetic store. I've done it myself. I mean if I enjoy the game then I'll help fund it. If I don't then I won't. The reconciliation phase is when you're paying into the game and also not enjoying it. I probably won't touch this new league but really only because Harvest wasn't fun and I think the team doesn't have the right direction on what the game was missing anyway. That by the way is community / P2P which D2:LoD excelled at. |
