" I agree that Awakener gems weren't needed - at all. But alternate quality gems seems like a good idea - it's not power creep, it just more/different options. I like it. It's absolutely not a major change, but a cute tweak. The uniques are not copy pasted, and some of the teased uniques are more different than they appear at first glance. And new animations, graphics and updated physics are coming in PoE 2, as far as I know.
