It wrong of GGG not to make it clear tencent now owns GGG
" Ostensibly that wasn't ownership it was partnership hence it being Activison Blizzard as its title, obviously that isn't quite how it played out but I suspect people give far too much credit to Activision in the general decline of Blizzard and not enough to Blizzard. Activision release major games every year, Blizzard release a game every decade if a full moon falls on a solstice and the goat entrails from their corresponding sacrifice suggest the omens are good. If anything Blizz required considerably more Activision. please note I think Activision are managed poorly and I loathe them as a corporate entity but when you play pin the tail on the donkey with this one it'll always get stuck in Blizzard again. |

" Credit or blame? Anyhow, I think the same applies to GGG. People can whine all day long about the "Chinese influence", but the game has been headed in the same direction for years, long before Tencent 'came aboard'. People are split; they want to view GGG as the good guys, so they put the blame on everything they deem wrong about the game on Tencent. We do not know how much involved Tencent are. Personally, I suspect them to be far less involved in the Western client than some people might think. But as Charan said, we do not know, it's only speculation, even though he probably suspects them to be more involved than I do. I think it's kinda unfair to blame everything politically wrong with China on Tencent, which it seems a lot of people are doing. I'm writing on a keyboard made in china, looking at my text on a screen made in China, moving my cursor with a mouse made in China. And they are all working together because of the MB, CPU, GPU abd RAM all made in China. Some of them "by" Western companies, 'chosing' to manufactor them in China (to be fair here, some of them might be produced in Taiwan or Korea). But Tencent? No, we're supposed to hate them. But Intel? AMD? Nvidia? Apple? As of now, the world loves China, it depends on China and their imorallity of cheap labor and human rights. This debate is useless on a gaming forum. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" In Agreement with GGG and Tencent, they do not want to interfere with Path of Exile. They just wanted to support it, sure they may be releasing even more mtx now, but at least that's all that is happening. I do wonder where GGG would be today if it wasn't for Tencents money, money was the only reason this happened. Last edited by firenovix#6291 on Sep 1, 2020, 7:30:41 AM

" Sadly I blame Activision for Diablo's failure, simply because before them we had D2 which was amazing and after them buying Blizzard we had D3 which is a literal dumpster fire imo. Not to mention they fired hundreds of Blizzard employee's and gave bonuses to the higher ups who do hardly any of the work. Last edited by firenovix#6291 on Sep 1, 2020, 7:34:39 AM

I blame the lack of time as a sole factor for humanity to still be in its early stage of evolution. The quickest progress in evolution is not only reliant on time to pass, which will lead to gained experience (lessons), but the cost (price) humans will have to pay for the choices of lifestyle.
The domino effect is happening and some of it we can experience within days and some of it will be experienced by the next and the next generations, because that's how it works when we all share one planet, one home. By year 3,000 humanity or what will be left of it will be completely different than today just like how we were different 1000s of years back. The way we consume resources and feed will be different and our governing system will be different. The way we populate and educate ourselves will be different. The way we interact with the planet and rest of its species will be different. The overall quality of all life that will arrive will continue to improve as we learn to manage ourselves better, as we become more responsible and aware of the domino effect that follows from our actions and inaction. Hopefully, by year 5,000 our planet will be presentable enough for advanced civilizations to have interest establishing a direct and permanent contact, civilizations that are hundreds of thousands to million years ahead. When extraterrestrials will feel comfortable enough to share their toys or should I say donate their technology with this primitive rock then our species will finally classify as "intelligent" or should I say mature/adult. I mostly feel bad for those who are unfortunate (like I and everyone else), being here and paying the price for our progress. The saddest part is that most are not even aware of the price they're paying until they are, because then change will start happening. To put it in perspective the life we currently live can be hundreds of times better as well as longer. |

" This is just a bad take all the way around. The talent that developed Diablo 2 (Blizzatd North), never went on to do anything really of mention. (Maybe Hellgate London or Marvel Heroes, but those were not on par with D2) In addition Diablo 3 wasnt a failure or "dumpster fire" by ANY measure. I get that its trendy, cool, and meme worthy to hate on Blizzard. So good for you, nice hot take that Activision/ Blizzrad sucks. I loved Diablo 3. I still play the seasons when they come out. The PS4 port was outstanding. Hate all you want, its irrelevant imo. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
