So I found a dead baby....

I know it's all edgy and rebellious to embrace as many atrocities as possible, but there's a different viewpoint here...

See, I don't personally care one way or another but I think GGG has a pretty good thing going with this game. With that being said, to really become a major contender in gaming you have to find yourself somewhere between Soft Fluffy Rabbit Carebear Land and OMG KILL EVERYONE LETS BE RACIST/BASH GAYS/BE RUDE IN CHAT AND ACT LIKE JERKS land.

Any of us who have played online for a while have seen the hardcore early adopter factions try to keep various games as "real" or "true" as possible to what they feel the game is/should be. And in every case where that extreme has been catered to the game or version has failed. Oh, it works at first. But when the people "winning" start to do so consistently, the losing sides disappear and the "winners" no longer have lesser gamers to outshine so they head off somewhere else. The same happens with cultures...the loud, obnoxious majority that feel the need to prove exactly how edgy and rebellious they are soon realize the more normal/intolerant people have left and they no longer stand out as counter culture so they end up drifting somewhere else to be obnoxious.

So, the reality is this: it doesn't matter what we think as individuals. What matters is how uch the general population is willing to accept and in what form. If killing adults but not children is where the profitability is then PoE must exist there or it will not be feasible long term. If complete anarchy in the community and in game elements works out then that's going to be fine, too.

But some level of "carebear" has to exist to survive mainstream playerbases.

So, dead babies...well, for a lot of people that might be an unnecessary addition to the game environment. Are they going to be a vocal majority on the forum post about the topic? Probably not because they know many people who embrace this in the game will also go out of their way to be obnoxious during the forum dialogue. So instead they will keep playing but the "yeah I like this game" level goes down a little bit. When enough things add up they move on.

So the question is: How important is it to everyone to *keep* something that might offend a sizeable amount of people and ultimately lower the populatino of the game?

My answer is if getting rid of the dead babies and other minor changes makes the environment a little better for some people and they stik around I'm cool with it. Because that person might be a future guildie or friend and the graphic doesn't really do a lot for me.
ok. why people want more dead babies and such in PoE?
because no other devs team than GGG "dare" to do that, the other compagny try to cater to the "for all the family" and not to offense anyone in particular...

it's ENOUGH!

I can say that real PoE lovers want a game without any concessions for "all the family", they are a lot of other product intended for children or soft-hearted people.
a lot!!! all of them, nearly....
anyway it let the place for a GORE ARPG to rise...

please, let PoE be bloody with guts and dead babies all around the screen...
thanks.

edit: and gigantics ugly drooling spiders too!!
... nothing

The level of grit and gore is good where it is. Bleeding hearts and pansies need not apply. Hello Kitty Online is over that way --->

It's good to have a least one game on the scene that isn't going after the whole family casual market. They have an unlimited amount of games to choose from let the rest of us at least have this one game that's willing to go dark and dirty like the old days before gaming became a stock holders business.
Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat Server Test, and Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat League Event!
I also want to clarify that it is plain as day that that is NOT a doll on the beach. It's a dead baby. I'm not sure how anyone arrived at the conclusion it was a doll, but they're clearly stupid and blind. And with all the other dead bodies washed up in that section, I really fail to see why a dead baby washed up on shore is so strange a thought or is morally wrong. I'm actually surprised there weren't more child corpses.
I hate people who get offended constantly and demand everyone change to suit them. There is too much of this PC bullcrap today and it is eroding freedom and stifling creativity. No one asked any of these Lily-livered bleeding heart pansy liberals to come play a game they should have been smart enough to know would offend them.

If you are offended, leave. Simple.

Console loot filter for POE2 Please!
I don't see any blood or severed body parts. How do you know the baby is dead? Maybe he had a long day of fighting monsters and he's taking a nap.

I just wonder what that baby did to get banished to Wraeclast... probably didn't even pick up the starter weapon.
