Name a ARPG better than PoE

Median XL
Grim Dawn.
Other ARPGs are very boring and slow, it's impossible to play them after Path of Exile gameplay and things like Beyond, Headhunter, map speedruns etc.

So yeah, and looking at Diablo 4 with its ATK/DEF stats, it's not going to be better game either.

POE2 is the name of the new 7 act campaign.
The base game will still be the same with 4.0 when the reworked skill gem system and new acts are active.

Not sure why they released a new campaign instead of making a true successor with no legacy clutter.
But i guess the MTX dependency is too important to ignore so they settled with a okayish middleground.

People seem to forget the PoE 2 is more than just a "new campaign". New models, new animations and a forced overhaul of the old acts too, and of course endgame tiles and assets (as far as I know). It IS the perfect moment to "trim the hedges", cut down on bloat and "streamline" the experience.

If they seize the moment, on the other and, is another question.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
There is no better ARPG then PoE. Lets be real most have played the game for years, eventually you grow tired.
PoE has lasted longer thanks to the constant updates. But new league mechanics and minor stuff can only work for some time.
No matter what game you will eventually find flaws and look for something else.

I can't think of a single ARPG that has lasted this well. Played it for nearly 8 years on and off.
I know Diablo 2 is a contender, but is it really? I had great fun with it but stopped much sooner. By now I have probably spend 5x time on PoE.

Thats why I get a bit sceptical when People say Toarchligt 2 or Grim Dawn. They are good games, no doubt.
But is it reeeeeeeaally a game you can play over and over for years? I doubt it.

I'm a member of a forum that began as a D1 community. There are still people playing the GoG version of Diablo and Hellfire, nearly 25 years after they were releaased. Now THAT is longevity.

Thats quite impressive. D1 has a fantastic atmosphere but not a ARPG i would keep going back and play the same way I do with PoE. And I think there are quite few that do it.

They explained this too, and the reason is because of what anyone who's been playing games for more than 3 years already knows. If you make a sequel, you divide the playerbase, and it would be more catastrophic to divide the PoE playerbase between two games than it is to 'merge' the two together. No reason in the world for them to make a completely new game, just call the next massive update PoE2.

This makes hardly any sense though. If it's called PoE 2 it's implied it's a new game, not just a massive update.

That's like if Blizzard were to release Diablo 4 with just a different variant of Diablo 3.
