What's the deal with Mirrioring Service?

OPs post makes no sense at all. Would you expect them to mirror their item for free?

Btw, when i finally roll a 600+ es titanium spirit shield with 60+ spell damage and 100+ spell crit in hc, im going to charge 10 exalts to mirror it. Im greedy that way.

So the service renderer is losing Mirror (35 Exalt worth) + 10 Exalt.

45 Exalt = 675 Chaos orbs.

Good Luck.

I think people are failing to understand what an exalted orb is actually worth.

Ive used about 10 exalts and gotten nothing in return from them due to poor luck.

this is a gauranteed return ...

mirror items are worth buying when you can A. Afford them B. you dont want to spend 675 chaos orbs on one item and still end up with nothing. You people have all seen the "i spent 1000 fusings and didnt get a 6 link so i quit " threads. This is a gauranteed return and all the seller wants is a fee. don't buy it if you don't like the fee.

do people understand that if no one ever used exalted orbs many of these godly items wouldn't exist in the first place?

OP makes it seem like giving away one exalt "for free" is the end of the world.

Service renderer is me, and i wont be losing anything but chroming time (and not much of that for a 3-link!).

But ya, theyll be losing 45 exalts (at current rates, anyway). Standard mirror fees in hc are 3-5 exalts, they get regular business, no one complains and so far, none of the items are actually perfect- theyre all 4-5 out of 6 desired mods.

And like i said, im greedy. A shield like that would bring the mirrors nevertheless.

All the people who think the service is unfair should pool together and craft a better item, and then offer the mirroing service for cheaper (or free!).

That will show your real dedication to the cause.

You better mirror it for yourself first so item doesnt get to default lol

While I don't see an exorbitant fee working out, 1 exalt seems pretty cheap. Buck up and pay it, or just sell your mirror. Not a whole lot would be worth what a mirror is worth, and if it was, 1 exalt to mirror it would be cheap.
Guys, go look in the Mirror thread in the sales forum. Look at the items there. We're talking things like a 1k ES 6L chest with dual res, or a 2.2k armor piece with a perfect life, chaos, and dual res roll, or a two-handed 6L sword with literally perfect DPS. You couldn't get a 6L with stats anywhere near that good for 36 EX - not if the person selling has a clue what they're talking about. Yeah, so the guy doing the mirroring gets 1ex "for free". You know what you get? Access to the very best gear in the game. If that's not worth an exalt, your priorities are fucked up.

Don't really get what the OP is all about =/

If a buyer decides to use the Mirroring Service, its obvious that to the buyer the item must therefore be worth at least 35 Exalts to him/her.

At this point quibbling over the cost of a Mirror becomes worthless, as obviously the buyer believes it is worth it.

Which leaves the question of the 1 Exalt fee, the 3% service charge... 3%.. you're paying what amounts to 35 Exalts on an item, but you won't pay 36?

If you don't want to pay the Service Renderer anything, why should he want to do anything for you? Out of the goodness of his heart? Perhaps, but you can't force people to do charity =S

This kind of inane mentality is stupid, its the same mentality that makes a client claim an Architect doesn't add anything to the end-product and so shouldn't be paid

Good job building that house by yourself. And likewise, good job crafting that godly gear by yourself.
