What's the deal with Mirrioring Service?

The person wanting to take the service is losing a Mirror(worth approximately 35 exalt) and in return gaining a mirrored item. Why is there an outrageous service charge? Usually around 1 Exalt.

The service provider is basically getting 1 Exalt and losing nothing,

Even if the item were worth 36 exalt (doubtful), why would you give someone a free exalt?

Because if it's worth mirrroing they crafted it. It's a way to make your currency back.

What do you not understand? If you want to mirror an item, shit aint free. It's called supply and demand - they are supplying a product/service, and the other individual is paying a small fee to do so.

because you get the best item in the game crafted with hard work and many dissapointments

seriously if you take the lazy route you shouldnt complain at all

mirror user are parasites living off hard crafting gamers be glad its only 1-3 exalts

btw it can take over 900 fuses to get the 6l

900 fuses = 150 gcp = 30 exalts so much for doubtful value

not even counting the endless alterations regals and exalts and you think a shitty mirror is equal ?

Yeah it makes sense to pay to get it.

I mean, assume you have your mirror.
Do you use it on that shitty 4L ilvl 50 chest you got? Do you use it on any other piece of gear you loot that is completely shitty?

If you don't, then someone else gives you the mirroring service to give you the best bestest bester gear in the game for that mirror of yours.

Compare the 2 situations and you'll know why you have to pay for the mirroring service in the eyes of the buyer.

In the eyes of the seller, yes, at that exact point he gains money out of nowhere.
But more than that, it's a reward for having the best items in the game he spent so much time crafting/looting/etc.
If you have enough glories to become king, then everybody will reward you with riches for the rest of your life (/bullshit analogy :P )
I'm pretty sure you can sell the Mirror and get a incredibly good item for 36 Exalt or less. As a buyer I'd rather get a slightly inferior item for 36 Exalt than give someone a free Exalt which they can use to bid against me on an auction.

That's just me.

I was wondering, how does that mirror service stuff even work? You give a stranger a mirror and an exalted orb in hope that he gives you the item you want?

Let us name them each player "mirror", "gear", and "trusted".

Scenario A:

Mirror trusts gear by giving him the mirror + exalt and expecting mirrored gear back.

Scenario B:

Gear trust mirror by giving him the gear and expecting it plus at exalt back.

Scenario C:

Gear and mirror both give all them items to a trusted third party. The trusted then mirrors the item and gives all items back to the appropriate persons.

Scenario D: Gear and mirror both give items to a trusted third party. Trusted third party then runs off, never to be heard of again.

Damn, sounds like risky business. I'd rather just buy something with the mirror (which I'm expecting to drop any day now).

Problem is finding someone willing to part with a godlike item. Mirror services are offered by people who actually use the item themselves.
