PLEASE, let us turn bloom off! At the very least, give us a "super slight" option.
As even with it set to slight, it's what other games would call medium to heavy bloom. At least, that's what I am seeing now and judging by this thread, what a lot of other people are seeing too. Bloom like this kills visibility and is exceptionally hard on the eyes when it gets very bright and it just floods everything, especially for those of us who don't have the keenest of peepers due to various eye conditions. And when there are so many of these bright lights and flashes from the constant attack and spell effects, that PoE has in increasing numbers as you progress, well you get my point. Also I'm here complaining now, having just reached act 6. I can't imagine what it will be like when I start doing maps. |

Please give us the option to turn Bloom completely off. The "slight" setting is not good enough in my opinion.

and another day goes by without anything being done.
I'm sure if this was an mtx that was faulty it would have been addressed by now. This is a health risk - it should have a high priority GGG ! I loved Path of Exile.
I do not love Path of RNG. Bloom gives me migraines, the over usage of darkness strains my eyes. Save our game, remove all of the constant RNG and allow us to turn off Bloom or give us an in game brightness control! |

Can someone who's having issues with the bloom post a screenshot? I'm wondering if it's a bug on some systems because the game looks the same to me as it did before the updates.

I have no problem with bloom in most areas. But today I visited a Celestial HO with pretty much no decoration at all.
The entire ground texture was blinding yellowish white. I'm willing to bet that maps like Dig and Glacier, which already cause me severe eyestrain due to glare, will be unplayable if the celestial HO is any indication of the bloom problem. I do get that some gfx drivers, cards, and settings can't be helped because they're not GGG's problem. But offering us a toggle to turn off bloom completely if it is causing eyestrain or migraines should always be an option. I'd like to think Chris' penchant for trying to kill players doesn't extend into IRL problems with the user interface and controls. It's bad enough that several builds and archetypes are off limits if you have a tendency towards repetitive strain injury or carpal tunnel. And we know the company's stance on some important QoL and ergonomic accommodations in the past - tab autosort, items dropping in stacks if they're identical in metadata *cough perandus coins breach splinters harby frags*, etc. [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

still no comment on this? it's like they're trying to push ppl away.
they must have a trick up their sleeve, nobody's that dense ;) hope it can be attributed to the weird phase between poe1 and 2. Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on Jun 23, 2020, 1:25:47 PM
