Transcendence Keystone, lets chat

unless you have lots of %phys damage reduction or physical damage taken as "x" element this keystone is a death sentence vs monsters dealing physical damage.

But for builds that do not focus on armor, this is the ultimate busted keystone.
+5 to max res PLUS elemental damage is mitigated by whatever armor is on your gear here and there.

So, for builds that focus on evasion/dodge/block and ES this will be the ultimate build hardener since all of those defensive layers still provide physical mitigation.

For CI this will be even *MORE* busted because now you get 80% max ele res (and even higher with some heavy investment) and 100% chaos res. So phys becomes the only attack type to worry about...

Craaaaaaaaazy.

And the legion farmers rejoice because it'll probably only be from one of the rarer legion jewels.
Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.

Same way as always: Evasion, Dodge, Block, and high Energy Shield (CI).

Armor has been one of the least worthwhile of defenses since forever.

GGG need to choose another name, since Transcendence as notable already existed. Hope they already noticed and renamed the notable.

For the keystone itself. If fixing the physical damage migration / reduction, it seem not a bad choice to build around, especially someone with legacy Loreweave.

Without Loreweave, stacking +10 max res to 80% res AND armor and someway to reduce physical damage, would simply make the build run out of mods for other stuff

There are a few ways to take phys damage as elemental, surely not completely, but I guess you can reach around 40-50% conversion with some investment (Lightning Coil + Crafted Helme comes to mind).
That probably would save you from most minor to medium phys hits, and against those, just use Immortal Flesh for example.

To counter the -5% to max resists, just run 3x purities with increased aura effect to get decent max resists again.

Just need to build for it, and needs proper investment, but if done well, seems to be a pretty strong defensive option to me.

damage taken as mod are mutually exclusive since 3.10.

The best hope would be flask.

Also, the damage taken as mod on helmet can be slam on item with the Incursion hybrid mod (res and damage taken) in 3.9. Not sure it can still viable in 3.10 or not but the hybrid mod was nerfed to 5%

I bricked my legacy item by conqueror slamming the wrong mod

For chest, certainly mutually exclusive (taken as Elemental and as Chaos was an option). Here is the legacy item

(but may be Lorevae better, this is not even my double vaaled one)

this is a very hot take, i'd forgotten about good old crab aspect
Can someone run some calculations, on what this passive offers vs mixed damage? For example against a hit with 2500phys + 7500ele dmg, assuming you have loreweave (78% res in both scenarios) and 10k armor, are you better with this passive, or without it?

With 75% res, it's clearly the same thing, as after resists, it's 2500phys + 2500ele dmg, so the effect of armor is the same. But would be interesting to find the point when this starts to be actually good, against mixed damage (eg. for maps with 2 mods of phys as extra ele dmg). If you have 50k armor, are you better with or without this passive, against mixed damage?
