This has huge potential for fail, as -5% all max res is HUUUGE in terms of more ele dmg taken.

To equalize that with armor ... gl lol, brass dome is your friend
In league BEFORE Nebuloch buff (he burn you for 400) I played 55k armor and 9 endu charges Nebuloch Jugg (basically not fortify) and Mjolner Jugg with 83 cold/lightning res, 84 fire res, fortify in main link, 7 endu charges, 10k armor, almost 1k life more and sustain form LGOH and Kings Guard.

It's looks strange but you cant even compare surviability of this two characters. Jugg with 55k armor can facetank every t15 with 3 dmg mods when Jugg with hight ele res wos constantly almost death.


TLTR: Majority dmg in this game is physical or physical+elemental. Even with elemental damage mod on map physical damage still hit harder then elemental. This keystone is just not worth it.

Similar experience here. Reducing phys damage taken has more value than elemental.

Simple math confirm this.
Lets say we got 2x ele dmg mode (+200% total ele dmg) and monster hit you for 5k physical (majority monsters in map do physical dmg).
1. 75% res and 50k armor: you are hited for 2.5k phys and 2.5k ele
2. 95% res and no armor: you are hited for 5k phys and 0.5k ele.
So even with 2x ele dmg mode physical dmg reduction is still beter then ele.

Hight ele dmg reduction is good only in some specyfic boss fight or nasty map mods compilation.
This keystone need to use along with phys to ele taken as mods.

Without it seem suicide

Simple math but one-sided
Try to compare pure 10K ele damage hitting you at once with 10% penetration map mod or whatever. Physical mitigation won´t help you here.

Also many bosses converts XY amount of physical damage to elemental damage without any extra ele mods.
There are also many pure elemental spells, detonate (VDD) skills and other abilities.

On the other hand it won´t work with DoT or chaos

f.e.
Veritania, The Redeemer 75-100% physical damage convert to cold damage
Hydra Guardian - 50%, I think flying balls are pure cold with penetration
Shaper´s bullets deal pure cold damage with 25%? penetration etc

So it´s not as easy math as you think.
It will be strong but requires some investment.

having had a few days to think about it this is my takeaway too, if you can get enough phys taken as X, or enough plain physical reduction (end charges etc) this nodes gonna be fantastic.

For most cases, -5% max resists will not worth the trouble, even with full elemental conversion.
