Sirus fight is the best boss fight in the game
All jokes aside. Sirus is one random cheesy encounter. Im glad at least that his super cheese only kicks in on the last phase. The other phases at least have mechanics to them that are not as random. All phases can be learned, but apparently some people don't want to learn a fight and be good at it. They want it to regardless kill them in some way, just because.
Either that or they are just compensating for something. "I won Sirus, omg, using a broken build i meta-wh*red for, Im going to brag about it in the stupidest way possible, watch me bro!" I would advise against buffs. Nerf the cluster jewel stacking on the large nodes. And proceed to continue balancing the game with making sure broken builds are not, well, broken. Also, mitigate some of the damages (I've said this before) with a mitigation that scales more the higher the damage dealt. Making it harder to slowly add more damage to your character vs bosses (as in after a point, the gain you keep adding gets smaller and smaller). Lastly, after all that, some builds at 40ex SHOULD be able do Sirus easily. Let them. They are crazy-expensive builds. If they don't do end game content with better efficiency, then wtf will? My 5 exalted character? Please don't adhere to such silly notions. If you want people to still enjoy the game and create fun builds and figure things out, then for the love of god, let go of the "Ima buff shit!" button. Its good as it is. Sirus is no walk in the park, and if anything is too much on the cheeseball side of things. I mean, I died once on his death beam because, stupid me, I was too busy dodging the other beams and hit some crap on the ground and the beams whilst hearing the DIE sooner than I expected and just jumped out of the way. His beam seemed slightly delayed? Server? IDK ALREADY! And he course corrected it on me while i had zero flasks and was slowed. COOL! Walked into the arena after that death, and he tossed his death beam at me as soon as I walked into the arena again (try dodging at that distance his lazah as it covers ten dashes in course correction). Awesome fight bro! Amazing thrilling fun! "We have nothing to throw at you at this point cause you learned the fight and how to play it, here, get some slows, no flask recharge for you, and suck on this course-correcting beam before you even enter the fight! yeaaaah, ya like that don't you b..." Its ok to have challenging fights. Its ok to put in mechanics that require us to learn a variety of patterns and have interesting encounters that if you get something wrong can cost you your life. Its not ok to make them cheesefests though, with trying to make the telegraph timings so small you need to literally be standing on the edge of your keyboard, dodging beams, that lead into a faster stronger death lazer that course corrects, whilst dealing with damage over time, while jumping over stupid shit lingering on the ground, with meteorites hitting you, thunderstorms, hail showers, earthquakes, and no flasks, ffs. Think it was one of the Synthesized Memory maps? For the love of god, there WAS NOWHERE TO DODGE TO I HAD 100 ATTACKS I WAS DODGING AT THE SAME TIME! I was just sitting there looking at my corpse, observing in awe at all the stupid going on in the arena. I was speachless. Not mad, not angry, not ranting and rage-quitting. No, just dumbfounded, looking at all the cheeseinfested mess, utterly dumbfounded and void of any thoughts in that moment. Cheese. That is what that is called. Not a challenge. Cheese. Nobody likes cheese unless its in their food. As for the builds that are not Cluster Exploits and what not, builds I would consider to be much more legit.... well if they managed to find/craft/buy a weapon that does triple damage than anything else in the game worth 20ex on its own, well that build better be able to take Sirus for a ride and slap him silly, otherwise wtf is the point? Its ok, some people, again, king-dongs, they gonna absolutely teabag everything with their enormous packages and awesome existence no matter what. What can we do, we all pray to reach their level of awesome, but we were not born with such talent it seems /s |

" Dude, IKR? I think he should go Marvel vs Capcom on it too, and have assists. Whilst you're dodging, Baran should toss some mana squares, have a snake in one of his storms throw poison, and Drox? Man, I miss his flags. We need an invulnerability flag on Sirus every now and then. Pure spice! |

" xD LOL I think the only thing I could add to all this is, that every now and then, randomly, the Conquerors' take up one of your own portals to spawn in. Eventually, you have no more portals, and if you take too long a Roah knocks you back into a new portal that tosses you out of the fight completely so you can grind the 4 Conquerors and 100 maps again to fight Sirus :P |

" LMAO :'D JUST DO IT! " Not gonna lie: I would absolutely love it. I cannot beat him anyways so it wouldn't affect me in the least and it would be hilarious :') |

Add Oba's Cursed Trove timer-of-death to the fight.
Spoiler
After 15s. Builds that are unworthy shouldn't even be there.

EDIT:
Nevermind me, I'm stupid and realized the entire thread's a shitpost. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! Invert mouse directions and buttons, and reassign keys randomly (especially the potion ones) just before the fight.

One other thing, make players use their chat skills in Sirus fight. All above suggestions are good but also:
When Sirus shouts "Die!" it should be a curse that can only be countered by typing "Live!" and it should have a random math problem added to it so it cannot be scripted, and then it will feel like a real magic spell too, so he says "DIE!! (2+5)-9" and then player has to type "Live! -2" in local chat or else they automatically die no matter what they do. Once player responds with the right answer in local chat to counter the curse then they can try to dodge the Die! beam. This will also counteract Harold builds if they have no skillz, slap those noobs back down to reality if they got no skillz to offer. |

" That's too easy, better to destroy a random stash tab on player's death, permanently. If there's no stash tabs left, destroy a random MTX. Arrogant n00bz must suffer!1 "Path of Exile's engine is currently modern, lean and fast." - Chris Wilson, September 19th, 2019
