'Convert' button in map stash doesn't work

I have thousands of maps in standard league. When I click the 'Convert' button, it disappears, but nothing actually happens.

If I wait for a while or re-log/switch char/change area/, the button will reappear.

The conversion did work in ssf standard league in which I have less maps.

So is there issue to convert too many maps?

Hello there.

First of all, there has been numerous reports of conversion failure if the tab contains "elder xxx" or "shaped xxx" maps, so i suggest you convert those manually beforehand if you're concerned.

About tabs including huge amount of maps, i recently discovered that the algorithm can take some significant time to process everything.
The last time i did it, it took around 15 minutes.
Furthermore, it appears the conversion fails if you leave the instance during that duration.
So i suggest you go in your hideout, hit the button, and stay there for like 30 minutes (just in case), then log out-in if the map series hasn't visually changed.

Jatin_GGG helped me figure out the issue.

Whenever there will be more than 72 maps in the same slot after the conversion, the conversion will fail.
For example, if you have 37 t16 elder map x and 37 t16 elder map y before the conversion and both of them will be converted to t16 carcass map, then the conversion will fail because it will result in 74 t16 carcass maps and this exceeds the 72-map limit per slot.

I ended up moving all of my t8 maps (more than 72 Lair), t15 maps (more than 72 Palace and Terrace) and t16 elder maps (more than 72 Carcass and Promenade) out of my map tab and then the conversion took less than a minute to finish.

I'm wondering if a GGG dev could please provide some info about whether this will be fixed/addressed in future? I'm in a similar situation where I've got thousands of maps in my map tab, and unfortunately not really enough storage space to remove a few hundred maps, convert, and then manually convert the ones I had removed.

A few things that can cause conversion to fail:

- Having incorrect maps in your map tab due to using Currency on maps while they are in the tab (for example if I use a Vaal orb on a Pier map, it can corrupt into a Peninsula map while still being in the Pier map tab).

- Having more than 72 maps TOTAL of the same type of Unique map, for example if I had 60 T4 "Pillars of Arun" and 18 T14 "Pillars of Arun", the TOTAL results in 78 which is greater than 72, removing some maps so that the TOTAL is 72 or lower will fix this problem.

- Having T16 Elder maps from before Conqueror of the Atlas was introduced, in this case failure will only occur if there's too many DIFFERENT types of T16 maps in total, easier solution is here temporarily removing all your T16 Elder maps


If Metamorph --> Delirium fails:
- Sum of T6 AshenWood and T6 Graveyard should be less than or equal to 72
- Sum of T10 OvergrownRuin and T10 AncientCity should be less than or equal to 72

If Heist --> Ritual fails:
- Sum of T5 Caldera and T5 Atoll should be less than or equal to 72
- Sum of T5 Lookout and T5 Basilica should be less than or equal to 72
- Sum of T5 Caldera and T5 Phantasmagoria should be less than or equal to 72
- Sum of T5 Wharf and T5 HauntedMansion should be less than or equal to 72
- Sum of T9 Wharf and T9 DesertSpring should be less than or equal to 72
- Remove all T5 Plaza maps
- Remove all T5 Conservatory maps

If Ritual/Ultimatum (same series) --> Expedition fails:
- Sum of T14 Shrine and T14 Silo should be less than or equal to 72
- Sum of T14 Plaza and R14 ForbiddenWoods should be less than or equal to 72
- Remove all T10 Canyon maps if the above 2 don't work
- Remove all T16 Atoll maps of the above 3 don't work

After using the Convert button, please go to a new instance as the UI may incorrectly display your maps.

Are there any additional "total count" rules for Delirium -> Harvest conversion?
There is at least one rule for Delirium to Heist conversion:

Beach (T1) + Jungle Valley (T1) has to be less than 72 because both convert to Volcano (T1).
Why isn't it built into the coding to attempt to convert as many as possible before denying the rest when a tab fills up? That's just bad man..
SSF, because Path of Trade RMTers and bots suck.
So annoying bugs, why not just create a remove-only map tab to contain those exceeding maps?

If you read Jatin_GGG's reply , there is no bug.....

(Unique map downgrade tier is a bug but not the only reason to overflow the map tab)
