Exactly :) You know, life has taught me one simple principle. If something, apart from the love of parents, is advertised as "free", then in reality it will be much more expensive than something for which you have to pay a certain amount from the beginning. Simple as that. That is why I have always tried to avoid all "free" stuff.

But one day, when I was really bored, I said to myself - "well, I'll give PoE a chance, if only to find out what the creators of this game actually do earning". And you must know that I used to be really good at D2 - level 100 before patch 1.08 and stuff (I even created a bot for farming Pindleskin, when I'm at school and to.. hehe, sell gear farmed that way). Never played WoW and D3 though, as Blizzard pissed me of after patch 1.10 and "duping scandal". After that Blizz did not get single penny from me :).

So - tried PoE, killed everything possible, learned how it works, quitted after 2 weakc of Shitthesis :) I will never ever touch any, so called "free to play" games again. Thank you again, GGG, lesson learned :)

F2P game means that you can play the game, comopltly free. Untill you reach certain point in which you realize that wpending money will make your experience way better and at the end you spend more money than when you would just buy th game.
Doesnt mean you cant play game w/o paying anything. It just mean that most of us wont do that, because we value our time in the game more than couple bucks on our bank account.

Time is money. [Removed by Support] Philosophy is simple. More time devoted to game (purposely designed to be addictive too), more chance to get money from addicted player. I have no problem with that, it was really fascinating to learn, how it works, but after I learned, I said - no, thanks. Currently, I have everything needed and unnecessary stash tabs, so in my case game would be really "free" but... I will not touch it again, as the game tries to rob a man of his precious time - in a very primitive way, in addition, [Removed by Support] on this devoted time with the help of the practice called "meta shifting", which is another sales instrument.

Few month ago I returned to Grim Dawn (more then 1000 hours played before), purchased some DLC's and other expansions, then... downloaded some of my builds created... almost 4 years ago. And guess what? They was perfectly playable. My time was respected, I spend bunch of time and work to create them and I can have fun with them when I want. Try to do the same thing with PoE. Have some build from "breach" league? It is reseted, unplayable and does not exist at all :) To have some ilusion of fun you have to create new char in current league and... be robbed of your time. To do what? Senseless grinding, idiotic bickering with idiotic trade system and so, and so. No, thanks :)

Developers make a game in a way they can get more money, Who would think.

Speaking about builds - you can do the same in PoE. As long as you are not blind sheep who follows meta, your builds that were created 4 years ago will be still fine, heck, probably they will be even stronger than before.

No :) By definition, they must destroy old builds and design new trinkets that they could sell cosmetics to. Not to mention the fact that my old vaal pact molten strike juggeraut, which I then altered to an ascendant with this claw with instant leech (I forgot the name, I haven't played for over a year) already in the Delve league was unsuitable for anything and now is good for nothing. And I facetanked everything with these builds :) I was able to stick the patch on my RMB, go out for coffee, come back and Shaper was dead :P

Anyway, if you like this game, then play it, bless Wilson and the team and give them money, your choice :)

Are you fucking serious? As I said. As long you dont play most broken meta shit like a blind sheep, your build is fine.
I can revisit my charcter from prophecy league and still use that build. Hell, it will be even better because I can now use better items for it.

Yes, I'm very serious.

MY literally immortal build, created by ME, MYSELF, not parroted from some payed monkey aka "streamer", created according to my own concept and project, which I worked for many hours, not using any bugs or exploits, but only what the developers themselves have enabled, literally immortal because I designed it and invented it like that, has been literally razed to the ground by the developers.To be honest, I have never seen a company behave with such scorn for its clients' efforts :) This is how they treated 4 or 5 of my original and unique immortal builds. Well, good job. Fortunalely, PoE is fuly and completely "free to NOT play" so... choice was obvious :P

Imagine that EVERY build was created by someone at some point. Did you rly think they wont nerf it just because you made it instead getting it from someone else?

Sorry, Aynix, this discussion is pointless. I worked in marketing for some time, in addition I am an analyst, I can see the formula of this business, you are whiteknight, fascinated by this game. We will not reach an agreement. For my part EOT :)
