The game cannot be "completely free" if you have to pay for any item or feature in the game. Even beyond the deliberately manipulative stash tabs mtx are a game feature and if they cost money, which they should, the game cannot honestly say it's completely free.

Is walking completely free?
Cos I went and bought some shoes to walk around in, so possibly I shouldn't be thinking that walking places is actually free. Plus I mean there's the opportunity cost of the extra time involved in walking places.

Exactly! Also, for example me, thanks to "completly free", in the implementation presented by PoE, I have completely cured myself of all other "free to play" games. It is like... when I see "completly free" description, I'm "completly sure", that I will have to pay a lot of money for basic gaming comfort and even then the developers will do everything to suck more money out of me. So yes, it was valuable lesson, which saved me a lot of money. Now, when I see that a game is "free to play", I laugh happily and add it to the ignore list, whenever possible. In the same way that a bag containing 90 chocolate bars and three pellets of rat poison is "completely non-toxic".
You don't have to eat them, of course, but that doesn't change the fact that they're in there.
