Which Pokemon game is the best?
The best pokemon games were ruby/saphire/emerald because that is just before they started crating stupid looking pokemon and overpowered moves, also they hav lots of replayability because you have such a variety of pokemon to choose from. the only downside of it was that the physical/special attacks werent right, I mean crunch was special attack back then.
Sometimes I think I need to get a life, then a new expansion comes out...

"I disagree with this because those are third-gen, and thus before they finally fixed the splitting of moves into physical and special, which is one of the best improvements made to the basic battle system in the history of the series. I'd recommend either the 5th gen games (Black/White) because they're newest, or the 4th-gen remakes of the 2nd gen games (SoulSilver/HeartGold), which have some of the same old-school feel as FireRed/LeafGreen, but benefit from the improvements made in forth gen to the battle system, from being DS games which gave an improved UI (those games had a n optional stylus-driven menu interface which was really good, and unfortunately not used again), and more gameplay (because the second gen games let you travel throguh two regions and 16 gyms, rather than 1 and 8 - sure Kanto was't fully fleshed out, but it was fun). Also, there's actually a significantly game-breaking bug in FR/LG when you get to the point that you can encounter any of the running-away legendaries (after first beating elite four). If they run away from the battle (which they will), instead of needing to track them down again, you can just never ever encounter them again. This is because those games were built on the Ruby/Sapphire engine, which didn't handle running legendaries because Ruby/Sapphire didn't have any. I spent ages training a two-pokemon tag team capable of removing all their ability to run, and reloading when they got killed and the legendary ran. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. | |
BLUE!! XD.

Gold was my favorite. The new region and pokemon along with going back to Kanto and fighting Blue and Red were all awesome.

The original red was amazing.

Silver. It has more interesting legendary pokemon than red/blue and a unique charme i did not find in later games. Why not Gold? Lugia looks awesome, thats why.
Pants ? Ha! I don't even know what "pants" is.

Personally I only played up to Leaf Green, but my favorite would have to be crystal.

" ![]() The trollening is nigh with this one. Although the game was very good. Red was my first, my dad got Blue, my cousins had Gold and I had Silver. My dad's favorite was always Gyrados. We would trade and fight, it was awesome. Personal favorite is Silver for sure. I have Leaf Green, but I never finished it. Templars believe in a god. I don't believe in Odin, Huginn and Muninn, but I would certainly have more respect for them if they were real. "Arise chicken!" Last edited by BillyWitchDoctor#1541 on May 23, 2012, 10:28:54 PM

I'll agree with a lot of people here, I rather favored Crystal. However, I've been meaning to get around to HeartGold and SoulSilver, as they're really nice remakes of Silver and Gold I've seen. I just cannot push myself back into the Pokemon mood, so...I probably won't do it.
For GBA? Crystal is my vote. |
