Which Pokemon game is the best?

Original red is the best but I enjoyed the remake FireRed as well...it was the whole red but some more!
Pokemon yellow! You get a Pikachu that FOLLOWS YOU! How cute is that? for the rest it's basically the same to Pokemon red and Pokemon blue.
Shoep - Default league Ranger
Peohs - Any other class or character i play.
Jhuvik - My Marauder
Merialeth - My witch
for me it is pokemon pearl lol, because it is the first pokemon game I played......

In the DS remakes of silver/gold, you can have any pokemon follow you by having it first in your party.
Blue
I enjoyed both Yellow and Crystal the most. 'twas a shame someone stole my Pokemon Crystal on my birthday. -_-

I'll vote Crystal none-the-less. :)

To be honest, i never played Pokemon Blue, Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal. I started playing the handheld Pokemon games when Ruby and Sapphire came out but, i was around for the original 150 Pokemon though, and i will always like them more. The game i liked the most was Ruby, because it was the only one i spent more then a year playing. I remember spending lots of time trying to level up my Pokemon to level 100. Good memories. RUBY!
I liked yellow as it was closest to the cartoon's experience and it had the tamagotchi pikachu minigame. Otherwise it was basically red/blue except you start with a Pikachu similar to the anime that followed you around.

Red?! NO! Play Blue :D
what about yellow :I
Not sure if this is anymore even relevant but here goes my two cents.

For your first Pokémon to play through I'd recommend FireRed/LeafGreen because they've got the battle system and moveset from current generations and still feel like that first Pokémon to play. Myself got a huge nostalgia fix from playing them.

Really objective opinion: just try out the newest you can get your hands on, they've always got something more compared to earlier versions and no generation is actually worse than their predecessor.

The actual 1st and 2nd generation games have any actual worth to us old farts, who want to rejuvinate our memories from those innocent times, cause really, their battle system and movesets are really flawed compared to the newer ones.
